Grrrrrr! Magic and oaths are all about INTENT! If you conjur a wall to BLOCK curses and protect others from bad guys, and the wall falls on someone, light OR dark, then that is an ACCIDENT and would NOT trigger an oath, therefore costing the subject their life or magic.
What if the bad guys fire killing curses at Flamels wall, and the shrapnel kills one of the students. Clearly he did not INTEND to kill a student. No clause trigger. What if he cuts a bunch of trees down to levitate into a physical wall, and before he can catch it one of the logs falls on a bad guy (taking the light side out of the equation)? He wasn't trying to kill anyone. no intent, no foul.

I REALLY think mass must have some kind of boundaries in transfiguration. A single hair turned into a trunk is a bit extreme. Mcgonagall's desk into a pig seems ok. Her animagus of a small tabby cat is a little off, too. James into a stag. Sirius into a large dog. All ok. Peter into a rat is too small if you go by mass. No one is ever going to be an elephant animagus... Or a draft horse... Or a water buffalo.
