Y'know ... it occurs to me that Moldy Voldy, by using Snape as one of his potion victims (yes, I think of it that way) sort of killed the goose that laid the golden eggs. He really doesn't have anyone else around who can whip the stuff up now, does he? And he's back down to one demon and one Arch-mage. That's gotta sting. I honestly thought he was smarter than that ... but maybe hubris trumps intelligence?

The thing about having over 600,000 HP stories online is, you will never read them all! But, if you keep reading you occasionally find a missed gem. This story is one of those precious finds.
I missed a lot of the references towards the end of the last chapter but it still made for a great ending.
Were I to change anything about this story it would be to rely less on going back to a canon timeline and characters. I never understood how Umbitch fit in the story at all. The constant need of Dumbles to see Harry as a child was just confusing. Like the saying goes, "It ain't the years, its the miles".

I liked the visit to the unspeakables. The by play between the old friends was entertaining as was Tom's frustration. Although with Tom growing up in a muggle orphanage he would know what a phone was.

I never got the whole thing about why being able to speak to an animal was evil.
I've also wondered how everyone knew what happened the night the Potters died. Was Voldemort's body left? His wand? He had it in GoF. Who got it for him?
