![]() ![]() ![]() This is very interesting. Like everything else you write, I wouldn't be opposed to a sequel. This one is ripe for the taking for it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm confused about why Battousai doesn't know if his/his bearer's family was saved by going overseas. If his bearer went with his family, which I'm assuming he did since Battousai said "he took his small family" and not "he sent his small family" which would imply that he didn't go with them, then Battousai should know what happened to them. Unless Battousai was left behind? Though that doesn't really make sense either or seem very likely considering the magical tie, or bond, between them. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great story, clever and well written with a solid interesting background ! I can only regret there isn't more... |
![]() ![]() ![]() You wrapped it all up nicely. The hidden family history bit was a surprise, but it makes sense in hindsight. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Another good chapter. Feels like things should be wrapping up, but you keep the pressure up admirably. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Japanese-Irish? It would fit with the red hair. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah, the well meaning mundane. Always a thorn in the supernatural community’s side. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Never been a fan of things that go bump in the dark, people tend to go “Oh, a monster. There’s absolutely nothing I can do, so I’ll just stand here and get killed” a bit too much for my liking in that genre. But this has Kenshin in it, so let’s see where we go. |
![]() ![]() Reread kudos! I jumped back over from ao3 looking for this :) thank you for fic! -lucime |
![]() ![]() ![]() Umm, this is really good. I've been avoiding it cuz it's AU but I'm so glad now that I've read it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I absolutely hands down adore this story. One of the top Ruroken stories, hell any fanfiction, I've ever read. It is so vivid and easy to picture mentally - one of those where I forget I'm even reading and am oblivious to those around me. Battousai as a sentient sword was brilliant and reminiscent of Need from the Valdemar series, yet less crotchety old woman ;-) The story also made me sentimental for some Vampire the Masquerade campaigns, despite having not played in over ten years. Beautifully done! |
![]() ![]() Am I just imagining that there used to be a sequel to this? |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love this story! I've read it several times already :) Thank you for writing it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great start! Love the idea. Easy to read and understand, though the way it's written it was a little bit hard to follow. But it didn't take long to get used to it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ahhhh this was so good! It ended at a really nice spot, I don't feel super confused or like there are too many threads left hanging, but I still want more because it is _Interesting_ and I loved it! |
