I am greatly enjoying this story. With many of your fics, you take a bunny that one would swear will not be workable, and make it shine!

I can't wait to see how Kenshin/Battosai deal with Government Agencies. Or how Battosai will react to being shopkeeper for real.

That aside, what a wonderful story this is! I don't know anything about RPGs (except that one time when I observed a session of some kind of vampire RPG... and found it impossible to follow) so I didn't read it when you first posted it. I'm so glad I'm not missing out anymore.

In this chapter, I especially loved the exchange between Battousai and Kaoru. Also this line: "People who cut corners and used twenty-four pound copier stock to write demonic contracts on tended to end up as front-page photos on USA Exposé." Brilliant!

One nitpick before I go: Ayame's sister is named Suzume, not Suzumi. :)

I really really like how you're blending these two stories together - and it's only getting better. This is a story that I'll be enjoying for a very long time, and I have to say that I'm very eagerly awaiting the next chapter.

Well, I am really enjoying this amalgam of Kenshin and Battousai that you have devised. I assume that the effect will end up as being a two way one and softening Battousai in the process. Also, I can't help but wonder if Sano is really dead. I am looking forward to more.

Narratively, I see where Sano had to be taken out of the picture, without him there's no one at Target Alpha that Battosai would come back to and without Target Alpha, Kenshin and Battousai need to merge to defeat Jin-e.

But it hurts. Sano is always a very vibrant part of the mythos... and I hope he makes a comeback. (After all, he was trained by a ghost and I can't see him leaving his good friend in the lurch for long. Crosses fingers hopefully...)

Does a little dance! I recognize Kaoru's apartment now! It's Diana Tregarde's place from Children of the Night! I had a suspision about that in chapter 2, but Jin-e's comments on the wards clinched it. I think Di and Andre would be happy knowing a woman like Kaoru is using Di's old place.

Now... is there a sword spirit out there in the hands of a cop by the name of the "Wolf of Mibu"? ::Whistles innocently...::
