| Life Remixed chapter 12 . 1/21/2011
I must say, I didn't feel quite interested reading the first chapters of the story (because I don't usually read fictions with Ishbal happening in the timeline), but I feel it's quite worth my time, seeing your take of Roy's transition from that 'inexperienced' phase to the 'survival guilt(?)' phase.
But what I love the most is the ending part (of the last chapter). The subtlety of their bond (Roy, Hughes; Roy, Riza) was wonderful, especially with Hughes calling her a sharp one, and Roy saying it aloud that he needs her. THAT, my dear, is LOVED! :D

This was a good one you really hit all the character's personalities dead on. I tent to let too much of my own personality into the characters, so yours was a nice change of pace for me. I hope to read a sequel.
*bows* Please continue to write.

| ShieldMaiden chapter 12 . 2/5/2006
OH. MY. GOODNESS. This is one of the best FMA stories I have ever read. No. Seriously. Amazingly in character... and the whole bit with Hughes, Roy, and Riza in the epilogue? ZOMG. PRICELESS.
| Kaori-chan92 chapter 12 . 1/17/2006
. . I've never looked at Roy and Riza like that before, I'm so happy to see something like this! Not only did this feed my fandom, but also my view and knowledge of war! I always wondered how battles would last days like how it says in my histry text books. I'm only in 8th grade, so yeah, I know nothing about
| crazy yaoi fangirl chapter 5 . 12/26/2005
Cute. Hopefully there's more Riza/Roy action later!
| mercutio-rane chapter 12 . 12/24/2005
I had to log on so I could add this to my favorites list (and you!)
What a perfect way to end the story! I have a feeling you referenced something that's going to happen in episode 25, which won't be out in English for about three weeks (not that I"m counting or anything!)
But the dynamic here, he's obviously so please she arrived, and it's all so sweet and lovely and the last line wrapped everything up in such a succinct and Riza way.
Gah, I can't believe I finished it all and I"m only seven minutes late!
Thank you, my dear, for a beautiful read and the best of holidays to you!
| rane chapter 10 . 12/24/2005
Kimbley's off to jail and his sargeant is dead. Not surprising!
Brilliant conflation of canon into your story here. REally well done and perfect!
| rane chapter 9 . 12/24/2005
Let's hear it for fraternization! LOL! Loved that line from Gran. Poor Roy,a nd Gran wakes him up to punish someone, as if it's a pleasure? What an ass..
| rane chapter 8 . 12/24/2005
Poor Marcoh...I guess it's human to understand both sides and to realize that sometimes difficult things happen. all's fair in love and war, they say. So I sympathize with Marcoh and with Hawkeye. I see her view, as well. But Marcoh is a casualty of war, really, isn't he?
Love that you had Riza take him away from all that, if only for a moment. It feels like the calm before hte storm!
again, lovely as ever. printing out more chapters and turning off the computer so calls can get through!
| rane chapter 7 . 12/24/2005
Marcoh's tincture arrives! The poor man. You've painted brilliantly how it becomes his undoing. I can't help but think of Einstein and some of the things he said after WWII...
Harsh and vivid chapter. I felt so badly for everyone, even after the tide turned and they managed to make it back.
| rane chapter 6 . 12/24/2005
Ach! Crimson! He's such an arse. Hm, I hope he doesn't have a "shadow" as good as Hawkeye! (oh, that's the mean streak in me talking ;)
| rane chapter 5 . 12/24/2005
Riza's line about being surprised to still be alive - so sad. And then Roy sharing the letter. (Oh, I miss Huges!)
And ROY? You're name is ROY? ROFL. And it's perfect that she laughs when Roy says he was a lady's man back home, as if she can't believe it. And Riza being what she calls a "silly girl." Death in war is not always corporeal, I guess. People leave things behind...
lovely writing, G!
