Nice! I've run across several 'someone is mentally sent back to the past to relive it' fics, but this is the first one for Naruto AND Sasuke. I love how it turned out, and as you have pointed out, it does change history. Can't wait to see what happens next! Especially with Itachi...

I'm getting a mental image of Sakura looking like Naru from Love Hina...all she needs is the glasses. Already has the temper and homicidal tendancies down-pat _ Would this, Sasuke's friendship with Naruto killing the overabundance of respect he had before, be the thing they hadn't thought of? Cause I can imagine Sasuke only thinking of this as a plus, since he didn't seem to care too much for the fan-girls or most of the village throwing themselves at his feet before. Interesting to see how Sakura turned out in a world where all the girls are drooling over the Uchiha. And a chapter late for thinking this, bout would Sasuke have subconciously activated his (fully-mastered) Sharingan while in view of Itachi, thus causing that look? Only thing I could think of. Anyways, looking forward to seeing how you have our favorite guys step into this brave new world of their's.

I really enjoyed this chapter, I liked the early introduction of Sakura and your portrayal of her character. I'm also glad that romance won't play a huge part until later. Keep it up!

Woot! an update it will be nice to have a stronger sakura around. Everytime naruto falls for a trap i imagine him hanging upside down like in the bell test. that was so perfect for this scene its just something stupid naruto would do no matter how amaxing he eventually gets _

this is a fun read! this is really gonna bother me though, i can't think of what the problem could be. there is of course Mizuki but that shouldn't happen because they will probably leave the academy early... but if they do that sakura won't be there (not that that is particularly upsetting...) and more importantly kakashi probably won't be there in structor but they have to graduate at the same time or the chuunin exam thing won't work... but naruto failed 3 times which means he took the test before sasuke would he graduate early? will someone else notice the new jutsu's they know? kage bushin is hard to explain away... aargh this is making my head hurt. enough speculation can't wait for the nex chapter and i hope you update soon

I like how the story has turned out. Good plot and Naruto and Sasuke are much closer than they were before. It seems like they forgave each other a little too easily though, after everything that happened...but it's nice how they're friends. How old did they get to before being brought back in the past? Does Naruto remember what's happening in the manga arc?

I hope Sakura and Kakashi make some kind of appearance soon.

Please don't give this a pairing. Or if there are any, keep focusing on the friendship between Naruto and Sasuke. A lot of authors who use pairings completely ditch any interaction between characters not coupled together.

now that they have the knowledge of how to train efficiently (naruto probably didn't even know how to train before his first attempt at the academy exam) they'll be undoubtedly at least chuunin level when they're 12

will you make them stick to the original timeline (naruto failing 3 times, just to have another peek at the forbidden scroll ?)

hum the foreshadowing at the end of the chapter can be a lot of things : itachi being taken by orochimaru 'cause of his weakened state, or he'll recover but as he failed to acheive mangekyou he won't join akatsuki, or he'll join but orochimaru won't perceive him as such a threat and won't leave akatsuki (thus no sound village) besides if the lead family of the uchiha clan (aka mikoto and sasuke) change view of naruto won't it cause some changes on other peaople, good or bad (maybe iruka not aknowledging naruto the same way) and then there's the whole matter of the academy, they basically know everything so can pass at eight instead of twelve, if they aren't on the same team with sakura and kakashi, what about the wave mission, maybe this time tazuna and the team could be killed... it could really be a lot of things and then a lot of them together

as for pairing i understand completely your position and granted how this story is oriented i have to say that no pairing would be fine, if you do i hope it'll not be yaoi. as another reviewer said sasuke doesn't seem interested in relationships but that can change, and you rarelly end up being with your first crush, well since you don't want naruhina nor sasusaku, if paired can we expect naru-saku/ino/tema and sasu-tema/tenten

i really like the potential of your story with more normals sasuke(not emotionnaly crippled) and naruto(not inhumanly dumb)
