I. Really. Liked. The. Story. It. Was. Great.

yay! what a nice way to end this! i loved the gifts they exchanged. the watch ties in themes from the preceeding story and the necklaces were quite amusing, but sweet and thoughtful, nonetheless. i especially liked serena's gift to ian- watching the kids. and last lines were perfect. now both lucy and ian can grow old together and watch their children and family grow, too.
thanks muchly for sharing! i enjoyed this very much!

lovely! i love how you pay attention to details like how lucy found the perfect christening gown. and, as per usual, the interaction between the characters was great. serena's short speech was sweet, just like she is. i hope this isn't the end...but thanks very much for sharing! i look forward to more :O)

little white lies certainly do pile up. i love how you had lucy approach the subject, and i loved ian's responses- you weave humor in very nicely. the closing here, was awesome.i bet they're both happy to know the real instigator and culprit finally got what was coming to him. great way to tie things together. thanks a ton for sharing! i've really enjoyed this :o)

lovely chapter. marty's very insightful in seeing that perhaps ian wasn't ready to greet his entire family immediately. small doses was what he needed, with some proper fuel to keep him going. the girls are a handful at times as it is, and returning from where ian was, it might have been a bit of an overload to handle that right away. nicely done.
two things i especially enjoyed: the children reacting to ian's return, and ian and patrick talking about their childhoods. i'm a sucker for parent/child bonding (i loved the line about how marty and lucy are such good mothers for a reason, and they are), and i also enjoy siblings interacting and remembering the good times. you were absolutely right in saying that ian and patrick are embarking on a new sibling relationship now, seeing how some of the unpleasant things of the past have surfaced and been dealt with.
all in all, great chapter! thanks for sharing. as always, i look forward to more.

i knew that agent limm had an another agenda of some sort. good thing it came to light and they were able to track ian down. so glad that he and lucy have been reunited! poor lucy's been going crazy, now she can finally relax. and ian no longer has to worry about his family. i'd love to see how the kids respond to his return or see ian spend some time with them after not seeing them for so long.
thanks muchly for sharing! i'm enjoying this so much, and as usual, i look forward to more.

i'm not sure if it's intended to be a bit of social commentary , but it's a neat spin, placing ian in a prison block housing only non-citizens under the invocation of the homeland security act. nice. seriously, though, it's so unfortunate that that really happens...
i loved how ian and lucy had that connection. it echoes of that intrinsic bond that was a motif in destiny revealed. alison was insightful in thinking that patrick and marty may share a similar connection. lucy's incredibly lucky to have such wonderful friends and family- she's going to need them.
though i realize that they aren't the focus, i'd really find it interesting to see the children's perspective/ thoughts on these recent events. all that has happened must affected them in some way, too.
thanks so much for sharing! i can't wait for more :o)

gift of the magi-ish,indeed. great chapter. some new things came to light, and, for the moment, there seems to be a sliver of light at the end of the tunnel. i like how you have limm being a hard ass. perfectly in character for the way you've depicted him. nicely done.
thanks, as ever, for sharing! i look forward to more :o)

excellent way of tying things together...marty and patrick have plenty of reason to hate todd. while he's sometimes painted as a "good" guy, todd really isn't one. he may be a good husband and father most of the time, but fundementally, he's not a good guy. at least now lucy and co. have a place to start from. hopefully thier lawyer can untangle this mess...i loved the ending of this chapter, with patrick meeting caroline and reading her a poem. nice way to balance out the emotions...
thanks, as always, for sharing! i look forward to more :o)

hmm...pieces of this puzzle are - ostensibly- coming together. i love seeing lucy in attack mode, all gung-ho about forming a plan of action. she's very fortunate to be surrounded by good friends like scott and kevin, who can help her handle things and help her keep her head on.
patrick and marty have impeccable timing. and it seems that they hold a very important clue as to what's going on...and i'm looking forward to finding out what they've been with holding (with good reason, i'm, sure) until now. i suppose that those 'little' things are starting to build up...
thanks, as ever, for sharing! i look forward to more :o)

*gasp!* and with christmas coming up around the corner? patrick and marty are sure going to get a surprise when they arrive.
poor ian, having to have all that happen not only during the holiday season, but also with lucy and the kids as witnesses...i'm starting to think that he should have mentioned their last visit to lucy.
thanks much for sharing, though! i'm intrigued as to why they say he's a threat to national security...so i look forward to more :o)

thanksgiving went off without a hitch! well, at least at ian and lucy's. how nice that they were all able to get along and enjoy each other's company and be thankful for their family and friend- which, essentially, is what thanksgiving is all about. nicely done.
poor alison, however, had to deal with her mother's unexpected, albeit brief, appearance. poor girl has it kind of difficult, and it's such a shame that she couldn't at least enjoy thanksgiving. and how like her to misconstrue what she saw at ian and lucy's and take her little idea over to alison immediately. my pc knowledge is on the sketchier side, but i love it when characters are written, well, true to their character, mannerisms and everything.
thanks muchly for sharing! i look forward to more, as always!
| pixie88 chapter 11 . 9/5/2005
this was an interesting chapter, what with rafe arriving and talk of this archane 'ceremony.' i'm thinking that perhaps ian should have clued lucy in on the ins making a return visit. however, rafe managed to erase that thought from his mind rather quickly.
while it's admirable that he wants to continue family tradition, i hope rafe will be able to contain himself during the holiday, lest one of the kids or livvie overhear something and start getting ideas. but he does have a point in mentioning that caroline will realize sooner of later that there's something different about her.
and it's a scary thought that there might be some sort of fall out yet to come that they hadn't originally anticipated when bringing around an end, of sorts, to the supernatural happenings in port charles.
thanks much for sharing! i'm looking forward to seeing more of the thanksgiving holiday unfold.

so those pesky agents drop in for a surprise visit...nothing too exciting for them to see, except, of course, to give ian a hard time. especially agent limm. i wonder what they know about patrick. it could probably simply be that, as they said, they check up on international numbers, and were thus just following up on that, or perhaps it was a loaded question afterall, that maybe they do know something. whatever the case, i'm still curious.
i like the way lucy knew something was bothering ian because of the presence of the whiskey bottle. i kinda wish that ian had voiced his concerns about lucy doing too much while handling the kids, as well. i hope it doesn't come back to haunt him.
thanks a million for sharing! i'm enjoying this very much and look forward to more.
