I'm so excited to see this all starting to snowball/avalanche! I'm eager to see how you resolve the little clues about Harry and Snape both being descendants of the Olivander family, how Molly and Snape both have sexy creature ancestry, how Snape's inventions will help all sorts of suffering people, etc.

I absolutely love this story, but it's obvious you posted it chapter by chapter, forgetting a few threads (which also were overlooked by the betas). You forgot that everyone was planning 2 birthday parties (staff and Order) for Snape, which got delayed due to his injuries the same weekend. A couple days later, everyone had this great "new" idea to plan a couple parties for him. Harry was rushing to put some memories in a pensieve as a gift for Snape after Snape was injured, to get the to him while he was still in the infirmary, but now, days later, they have not been mentioned. Filch still doesn't have his magic potion that Snape promised for several weeks ago.

This was such a great and well written story. I don’t normally read such long ones but something pulled at me to do so this time and I am glad I did. It never got boring and kept me wanting to read more. I’m looking forward to starting the next installment. Thanks. Debra

I love the inventiveness of this story, as well as the characters and plot. House elves can communicate with familiars, and will be able to help spell-damaged psychiatric patients. Snape's squib treatment will aid people who were previously scammed with a useless fake from Nora. I still can't understand why St. Mungo's couldn't offer legitimate potion to the squibs and prevent their exile or murder by their own families, saving thousands of "squibs."

I wonder who really made and who tested the potion, and who Fudge thought made it and tested it.

For fear of observation, Narcissa and Molly don't talk, but then Arthur and Molly sure say a lot of things at the ministry that could endanger Sev. To quote Alfred E. Newman:
"What, me worry?"

Did Sev forget the potion for Filch?

Fantastic, uplifting, heartbreaking. Poor Snape trying to save & support all these children. His relationship with Winky is so endearing. Moody is an insensitive bully, Lupin is realistically flawed - self serving but also tragic. Your Marauders backstory is rich in nuance & detail. Malfoy Sr is a selfish psychopath. Narcissa has in some ways sold her soul, but didn't have much of a choice. Malfoy Jr gives hope for the future. Poor Marietta, but I hope McNair needs to watch his back. Pettigrew is creepy/sad & poor Percy has a lot on his plate. Mr & Mrs Weasley are a lovely couple ( although not perfect). The twins are not let off with their bullying & Harry is not perfect. Albus is manipulative even with himself, trying to justify what he does.

( the subsiduary characters are fully fleshed-Flitwick is a joy, Mr Andreas - well I'd like to see how he turns out)

I love so many things about this story. Not just the plot, characters, etc., but the original ideas that startle me even after 15 years of reading HP fanfiction. For example: How you have the 3 Black sisters from different moms. Wow. How you consider the idea of a werewolf having an easier time if he only changes once for the week, instead of every night of the full moon. How there's an explanation for how Umbridge got to be the way she is (tragic events during her Hogwarts years). These 3 things and many more from this story will probably be permanently locked into my future version of Harry Potter, no matter what canon says, just because your version is so brilliant.

At #12 Sev told Albus to check on her. Then he told Moody to remind Albus, which he did. Then Albus reminded himself. All three times, Albus did not check on her.

Personally I think Remus should be cages at Number 12, where no Death Eaters would be able to set him loose.

Snape forgot to read Albus' documents. I'm eager to see his reaction when he does.
