choose the fate of a Gryffindor more than a Slytherin? mmm Snape is becoming selfish, and I hope that Dumbledore was harsh and strict when he punished both he Marauders' bullying, both Snape when he was the first who attacked them or Dumbledore is losing points, becoming as partial as Snape. Severus too risks to underestimate himself: Dumbledore maybe was exaggerating, in being so afraid of "Voldemort's evil glow" not to teach Harry, but Snape could have succeeded, with all the self-control he pretends to have, if he had been fairer with Harry

The letters: uhm, I cannot wait the recipients' reaction when they read them, especially Petunia. Her husband doesn't drink, a much as I remember, but heh he makes his part in treating harry because he's a bias against magic. Let's see if Petunia grow up a little and changes a little (as in some fics) her attitude towards Harry better

about Lily: another point: heh, yes, Snape had tried to apologize, but had kept following Death eaters; okay, maybe he had the extenuating circumstance that he wanted to be accepted and to defend by bullies, but it was the wrong choice, About Lily, I agree: if she had known that James, behind her, she would have dropped James even in the case that she had abandoned Snape forever; she too recognized that Snape's "strenght" came from rage and harm, and finally Snape understands it for Harry...

Done the best Snape could? BOOM! if he calls "preaching to Harry for self-control in occlumency" Snape failed 5 years before, spitting on harry all the loathe on James, that Harry had few reasons to get
Pranks? if all the pranks were like the ones of the Willow or the worst memory, and directed not only on Severus but on many other people, they are as loathsome as the attitude that Snape shows towards Harry, or Malfoy's insults and slanders
About the Dursleys? I agree: maybe explaining "as much as you despise we, wizards and witches, we are people like you; as much as you hate Harry, he could be both the 1st target and our only weapon against a racist and terribly powerful wizards that kills muggles" and wait? Snape would know the truth about how Harry? when and how? by ?
And trying to act as a mentor/foster father was could be an interesting punishment/retaliation for Severus, who anyway was so partial with Slytherins and Gryffindors, and has the fault of treating Harry as he was James. More than letting the past go, that sounds a little too like forgiving and forgetting James' behavior as if it was not bad, I'd speak more about treating all people according to their REAL faults, that is a behavior that must be counted as much as Snape's utility as a spy
Idiot Hufflepuff? ah is Fudge a Hufflepuff? I did not know it. And heh, not listening to Dumbledore, by them, was both dangerous and hypocritical. Why not to look for a proof about Voldemort's return, instead of calling Dumbledore and Harry mad? it was not the Ministry's fault if Voldemort had come bac and they had missed a Death Eater (Pettigrew) because this was so well hidden: the Ministry had little to lose if they had asked for more information about Harry and co.

I'm wondering just when Harry will make an appearance in your story. Been putting off on reviewing, because it IS dragging on with virtually nothing happening. Where is this going? Sort of hoping that Severus and Harry will team up!

Yes I get it... Poor Snape, bad Dumbledore. Repeat. And then repeat again. This story is dragging on because you keep rehashing the same things over and over. I'm at the end of chapter seven. It could have written it in three chapters without loosing any content or detail.

And isn't this story supposed to have Harry Potter in it? Did you purposely mislabel it to 'trick' readers?

Overall an excellent story. A completely different take on things than anyone else. I look forward to any sequels.

I enjoyed this story immensely. I am not fond of multi-views of the same incidents - especially with hop back in times, but you drew me in and I "could not put it down"

Hindsight is twenty twenty lol. Now why should Harry's anger be getting worse. After all the past year had him constantly mind raped and tortured fby one Professor and slowly drained of blood and tortured by another Professor...ministry smear campaign continued by the steeple students at school and the two people supposedly reliable to help him ignored him all year...the one person who actually cared for him us dead because important information had been kept from him and he has nothing to look forward to but another summer or starvation and abuse. Absolutely no reason to become enraged right!

I like angsty Snape but even this story seems overboard... I admire your skill in writing, though some parts of the story gets very monotonous. Sure, I like to see Albus realise his mistake in the way he treated Snape, but the back and forth indecision gets predicatable and irritating. All things said, I'm still going to continue reading this story. Hope it'll get better! :)

Wow, this Snape is really into the pity party, but I will read on anyway because I'm curious. The writing itself is very good.

Your story is possibly longest fanfiction that I ever read, but it was worth it. When I take a journey with it, I never felt boredom. You truley catch each of character's core and I enjoyed them very much. Thank you for your generous share with us. I really hope, someday, you maybe wrote sequel to this splendid story!
