I really enjoyed this story. The way you write is captivating. Good job. One thing i found a little odd was how quickly Darcy let him into his life. By that I mean sleeping with him..I felt like it was very abrupt but perhaps I just didn't catch onto the hints. I'm glad however that you simply hinted at it so it didn't disrupt me from reading the story afterwards. Anyways I really enjoyed this.

More seriously, this is an excellent story. You have a really nice style, utilizing good words and artful phrasing without it becoming dull and nauseating. I loved reading the poetry at the beginning of each chapter-that was a very nice touch.

Darcy felt like a real character, and I think you have some of the best Nolanverse Crane characterization I've ever seen. Amy also felt very real to me-Crane connecting the two women made the whole thing even better.

And the ending. Oh, the ending. The crushing finality as Crane realizes what he's done, that really punched me in the gut. I could feel it. The poor man. You've done an excellent job with him. You've done an excellent job altogether.

Oh my freaking gosh, he killed her! Wow, this story was absolutely amazing! Hope you write more like it soon.

I've read this story roughly five or six times now. I just want to say that unlike stories I've re-read in the past, I appreciate it more each time. The language is so dark and beautiful, so stark, and the poetry at the beginning of each chapter provides so much context and in a subtle manner as well. I genuinely teared up this time at the last chapter; the desolation is so enormously deep and heartbreaking, for the two of them. I could easily see this is as a companion to the movie - i actually think of this story when the scene between Crane and Falcone and the gassing occur as I remember it as the day after The Night. Really enjoy this and I have to say I wish you wrote more. This is gorgeously written and so well thought out. It's a tad rushed at certain points, and I think their relationship could have been a tad more fleshed out, but altogether one of the best works on this site of any fandom that I have read. Well done.

I've never read a Dr. Crane/ Scarecrow story, but dang, this is the bomb! Im definitely continuing.

Wonderful, wonderful! And so realistic! Murphy's performance as Scarecrow fascinated me, and I've noticed that all tend to fixate on those eyes. (Those beautiful, crazy, cold marble-looking things!) You did such an awesome job portraying his detachment and his background story. Wow. :)

To be honest, poetry has always been at the periphery of my vision when it comes to literature, and I've always thought of it as a dying art. But this year has been kind of an eyeopener for me, first from watching the series Chouyaku Hyakuninisshu: Uta Koi and now this! The way you've interwoven poetry within your story (or was it interwoven your story within the poetry?) was beautiful. I found myself looking forward to these little snippets at the beginning of each chapter as much as the story itself. Needless to say I adore all the poetry you've picked out, you've certainly made a convert out of me! :)

Things are picking up and getting serious! I really like the very few rare moments when Jonathan ditches his farce to show his actual caring for Darce, even if its in an unconventional sort of way

ahHA take that dear old Mike! Despite Mike only being in a couple of your chapters so far, he's already a character that I can envision clearly. His motives, attitude, his ego just through the few snippets of what Darcy has told us. And it was totally awesome the way she stuck up for Crane! I hope he hear her indignation on his part. Perhaps he will value her a little bit more because of it
