This is brilliant! I loved it! The writing was not as good as in Shikuro, at least not until the final couple of chapters. I'm guessing that's a maturity of writing skills thing. There were a lot more plot holes in this one, but the story was still amazing! I really hope you write more stories in the future!

I tried braving the Rin/Sess but the multiple name changes got confusing, oh well happy writing

this story was amazing heart warming while also will make you cry AND I LOVED IT FROM START TO FINISH... i could spend all night writing you and telling you what i loved ... but im not cause wow to long... i will say think ..IT IS IN MY OPINION THAT YOU MY FRIEND SHOULD BE A WRITER. Oh and might I add that you write some delicious lemons as well? They're hot and very tastefully done. I like the mature content for us that are adults on here... :)

I finally got around to reading this story as well. I LOVED the pirate story, as I've already made pretty clear :D so I thought I'd check out your other stories too. I thought this was an excellent story as well, although the pirate one is still my favorite. This being the older story, I feel that your writing has improved between the two stories.

The one thing in this story that got me a few times was losing track of how much time would pass during parts of the story. While I can't remember the exact parts, but for example-going back and forth between scenes involving Sess/Rin and Inuyasha/Kagome in the same chapter or one chapter to the next, what appeared to be not much time progression based on Inu/Kag actions/dialogue was contradicted by the fact that Rin went from being newly pregnant to rather heavily pregnant. If that makes any sense at all lol. I just remember thinking that back when I read that part of the story. I know what I'm trying to say in my head but am having a hard time trying to explain it in words. I didn't notice this in Shikuro, which is why I felt like your writing improved from one story to the next. Of course Shikuro was much longer and more in depth, but this story still had great portrayals of the original characters, plus some great OCs!

It was killing me early on, when Akkanka was successful at keeping Inuyasha and Kagome apart. But I am just glad they were able to get back together again, because their love for each other was so strong. Then it almost killed me again, when they got separated by time later on, but I was quite glad that was very short-lived!

You have a lot of creative and unique ideas and can make OCs that just work so well for the story, almost as if they should be canon. I have a hard time liking OCs that most people make, but you have a knack for writing them.

I hate crying or having to admit to it, but I may have teared up a little for this chapter. Them visiting the graves of Sango and Miroku, and the memories/flashbacks of them...

It was a nice little touch when Inuyasha mentioned his pen name was going to be what you have as your account name on here.

Also, I have to say you are my favorite author! I love long stories, that are well-written, with plenty of character depth and unique storylines, etc, and both of your stories are excellent examples of what I love in Inuyasha fanfiction. Please don't ever stop writing, or I will be very sad!

Not to get too off topic of reviewing this particular story, but we have Inuyasha the author/poet, Inuyasha the pirate, and since Shikuro will end up being completed sometime soon, I look forward to seeing what interesting new 'profession' you will give Inuyasha, or if he has one lol. I just really look forward to more and more, of Shikuro and whatever else comes after that one!

Ah, totally fooled. I was all ready for the last chapter and then... you should really consider putting this author's note at the bottom of the actual last chapter.

Criticism-wise, I think most of what I had to say was said already. And what wasn't? Well it was a good enough story that I pushed aside a lot of what I didn't like in favor of just enjoying it, and now I don't think I could remember it for the life of me, ha. It dragged a bit in some places, but I think that was mostly because it was so long. Honestly, what story doesn't have ups and downs?

That being said, the last few chapters were so much better than the rest of the story that it's almost like a different person took over somewhere. I could still see your distinct writing style and vision, just with the bar being so much higher. Also, you mentioned that the story and ending were updated to a degree. I'm very much curious to know the difference, honestly.

All in all, it was a great story, beautifully envisioned with plenty of heart. I'm still hoping Kagome and InuYasha will one day discover the miraculous invention of hearing aids though.

There have been many scenes in this story where I felt like I wasn't reading a story at all, but rather watching one. this chapter was certainly no exception.

Not for nothing, but it was a little bit obvious you hadn't yet seen or read the end of this series, but finished it somewhere along the way. This ending is a wonderful retelling of it though.
