Reviews for Survivors
Guest chapter 9 . 8/1/2015
Thank you very much for respecting not only the characters but your own self enough to NOT fall for that "smut makes everything AWESOME!11!" crap. I've stopped reading quite a few stories when they proved to be little more than sex manuals.
DrappleShipper394 chapter 5 . 7/31/2015
Wow I can't believe I'm reading this ten years too late! I just started this story a couple hours ago and I really love it, but this chapter... I just adore what you've done with Percy! That he was a spy inside the ministry all along? And how tender and open he was with Hermione in a totally platonic way?! And how he identified with Hermione and Snape in that way that I'd never thought of before but which was totally apt and perceptive? I LOVED THIS CHAPTER! I don't even know if you'll ever read this, it's been ten years, but I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate your writing. Hope you're doing well,

Em

Amazing! Absolutely loved this fic :) It had all the right clichés but was still very refreshing. I'll be sure to check out your other stories now!
Danb86 chapter 7 . 7/6/2015
I was going to wait until the end before leaving a review but OMG! HG/SS, Jane Eyre AND Jane Austen in the same fic! I think I might explode from being so excited! I've read a few post-war-Hermione-takes-care-of-Snape fics but this one has to be my favourite. You've written them so incredibly well and nothing is romanticized out of recognition. The pace is amazing, everyone is perfectly in character and it's absolutely amazing. I can't wait to read through the rest!
Evelyn's 3 of 5 chapter 9 . 7/4/2015
I agree that Severus and Hermione ARE very private people so I appreciate your handling of their intimacy. Beside leaving something to the imagination is important! I truly like this story!
frostynarrator chapter 10 . 6/22/2015
This story is very beautiful, and well written. Thank you for writing it!
thankstotheauthors chapter 6 . 6/18/2015
"Pus-focused melodramatics". Love it.
Guest chapter 9 . 6/15/2015
People who bitch about not having a sex scene to foam at the mouth over read only to get themselves off and not to enjoy a great plot, so never worry about "the need" to toss in a sex manual.
Hopeful-z chapter 10 . 6/10/2015
It was a nice story (although very cliche, as you said yourself). Thank you.
arlene56 chapter 10 . 5/28/2015
This story was sweet and fun to read. Thanks for sharing.
fuelforthefunnyf chapter 10 . 5/11/2015
Oh, no, you forgot the broken timeturner cliche, marriage law that forces them together, abusive Ron, de-aging- in short, your story was rather plausible, a firm bonus.
Fuelforthefunnyf chapter 9 . 5/11/2015
Amen to that author's note.

About the romance books- yeah. I'm a part-time junior librarian and the library just happens to have a booksale room. We have... eight shelves devoted to what I like to refer to as 'inaccurate lust fantasies' I consider myself a long-time sufferer of the sight of #shudder# Cassandra Edwards books. Not only is the man always half-naked, the woman is clinging to some part of his body, looking either sultry or entirely pathetic and helpless while he stands above, noble and proud, hair flying in the wind. Is it only in the US that people subscribe to monthly romance novels?- Sorry, pet peeve. Good story so far. I rather like the exclusion of smut and though I know you've already written the story, I'm hoping you'll continue that streak. Yeah, I'm a prude. At least by today's standards. Good characterization of Snape- though I will admit that I was rather hoping Tonks would blow up at Lupin. You seem to have kept everyone in character fairly well. I applaud.
bookworm661 chapter 10 . 4/21/2015
Truly enjoyed reading this story. Keep he stories coming.
Guest chapter 9 . 4/11/2015
I wholeheartedly applaud your decision to NOT revert to pandering smut where it is definitively not warranted. Kudos!

"Fanfic" does NOT equal "smut" regardless of what 90% of the horny teenage/cat lady/'lonely' wife-readers would like for writers to believe. I also wish to heartily applaud you for not lowering yourself to the point where you would write Severus as some pathetic kink-infested "dom". That trite nonsense is an insult to any decent reader.
