Reviews for Survivors |

![]() ![]() ![]() This story is both amusing and deeply affecting - I was laughing in parts, but you actually brought me to tears at the end of the second chapter, and I rarely cry for fanfiction. Excellent start. Excellent characterizations all round. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very wonderful start. I can't wait to read the rest. My only complaint is that you shift POV midway through both chapters from Hermione to Severus and then back again quite abruptly. It would be great to see more of Snape's POV but the transition needs to be a little smoother. They way it is now is a little jarring, especially because it's only for a few sentences. But other than that, the characterizations are very believable. I haven't read too many post-HBP fics that I like but this is among them. Good work. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great chapter. Love the story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I didn't think there would be many post-HBP SSHG fanfics but this is the best one I've read so far. I can't imagine Sev without an eye though... Maybe he should have a magic one like Mad-Eye. 'Mad-Eye Snape'. That could actually be quite catchy. Lady Jasmine Snape |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is one of the most well written and original fics that I have had the pleasure to read in a very long time. I hope that Hermione grows to love Severus, and that he learns how to love her; and allows himself to... Brilliant! Please update soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I wasn't surprised by Harry's reaction to her helping Severus. His grudge against Severus since first year really has affected his actions where Severus is involved throughout the books and it makes sense for it to also show up in your fic. I was amused that she knew he would lock her out of the house as soon as she went outside. His nightmares revealing so much about him was a good way to get Hermione close to him, even if he'll deny saying that he didn't want her to leave. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh wow, that was an incredible opening chapter. You had Hermione question why she was helping him, knowing that it is almost more for her not losing something familiar, but also because the idea os losing someone to themself is hard to take in. Her friendship with Winky is beneficial to the fic because it gives her an outlet, making her not so alone. |
![]() ![]() ![]() fabulous! a great hermione/severus beyond HBP...I was afraid there wouldn't be any. you're making this plausible. i like it, and hope you update soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is an excellent story where you've managed to capture Hermione and Sev perfectly. Hermione truly comes across as an empathic girl mature beyond her years (unlike the bratty, self-absorbed Harry) but she also has her vulnerable side. It's interesting that at first she's helping Snape because she doesn't want to lose anyone else senselessly but she comes to really care for him. As for Sev, I love how he has retained his snarky, sullen side but there is this weakness to him like a man who is close to giving up on a world he feels never gave him a chance. It was also a nice touch to see Neville's caring side and his understanding of what Hermione is doing. Can't wait to see more. You should consider submitting this story to the SS/HG archive Ashwinder so many more Sev/Hermione fans can enjoy it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Heart-wrenching. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hermione is a nurturer. I can't help wondering what she ever saw in Ron though; they seemed totally unsuited to me. |
![]() ![]() ![]() A very interesting take on what things would be like after it all comes to an end. I thought both Hermione and Severus were realistically drawn and IC. I look forward to reading the next chapters with interest. |
