Harry's the big buddy of the family *and* the one who so carelessly volunteered Hermione for the torture; he should have been the one to confess to the Weasleys that he was the one who threw Hermione to the wolves and that Percy certainly didn't stand up to defend her from it, either.

I love how you're showing the prisoners in the classroom acting true to form. None of them would honestly want to be there, this choice being only minutely better than Azkaban.

Nice of Harry to throw Hermione to the wolves and then suddenly maybe kind of decide that it might not be the most delightful thing the one he's supposedly friends with has ever done. And of course "concerned", blindingly ignorant Harry manages to not be around during the physical confrontation.

Curious as to how Bellatrix's suddenly-appearing never-before-seen daughter came to be. Was she in the books? Yeah, thought not.

How is writing a proto-rapist Mafoy "entertaining"?

For someone supposedly known for hexing people Hermione never hexes anyone and in fact lets Harry walk all over her at every opportunity she can find. It's disgraceful. I notice that Hermione didn't even tell Ginny that her precious Harry was the one who ratted her out for the torture/job. Ginny needs to know what a manipulative, cunning little bastard her dear Harry is. It's funny how Harry finally bothers to wonder if maybe Hermione didn't actually, you know, WANT this torture that he so easily and carelessly volunteered her for. He's nothing but an immature thoughtless asshole.

So this is another fic where Harry, et al, manipulates Hermione into doing his job for him as usual and gets her stuck in ludicrous situations that any other normal strong-minded woman with a backbone would have told them to all go fornicate with themselves but since Hermione is now a spineless moron, she falls for it and goes along with Harry, et all, and their manipulative schemes.

THIS IS SO GOOD UGH! But their relationship is a bit unhealthy in my opinion. Still good story though

Thank you for this. I've read so many books so many stories, and so many fan fictions. I'm not one to cry, but this made me cry like never before. I felt her pain, and in some way it became my pain. So thank you for writing such a beautiful story, and for letting me cry with no regrets afterwards.

I've loved your story so far but I just had to stop and say that this portrayal of Ron and Hermione's relationship is the best one I've ever read. Seriously I had to stop reading and cry. I love the build up of Draco and Hermione's relationship and it didn't jump into them just loving each other. It was messing and heartbreaking and real. Great job writing the characters and great plot. I'm so glad I found this story.

I've been reading this all day, definitely different from the 100 Dramione's I've already read (the obsession is real). Um and I love it. The angst and the intellect is wonderful. However, it seriously bothers me that Hermione takes pepper spray to her door... I shall quote Ronald Wesley, "are you a witch or not!?" Woman use your wand!
Regardless of that tiny little thing I can just ignore, this is wonderful.

Thank you so much for not only giving us this piece of fanfic, but also for indulging us in history and philosophy and for the record, i think i will take a look at Nietzsche's philosophy and probably read Crime and Punishment. And most importantly, thank you for not damaging Ron and Hermione's relationship. Even though I don't ship them, I think they have true love and it's just so touching that they are together in the canon. All the other fanfics that I read portray Ron as an evil selfish manipulative person that betrays Hermione and want to jeopardize her relationship with Draco. I think Hermione will always love Ron, but she will also love Draco. and I LOVE how broken the two of them are. war will certainly do that to people. this fanfic just seems so real. so realistic. no fluff because they suffered and lost so much in a war. they just need each other like a primitive need, some kind of instinct, and they connect to each other like that. there is a brutal beauty in your writing. it's THAT good.
