|Reviews for Tomorrow Today|
| FemaleSpock chapter 1 . 3/13
Interesting fic! I like how different the voices for the three of them are and how you manage to distinguish between them well.
| Go0se chapter 1 . 12/5/2013
This was really cool. I think you nailed each of their voices really well, especially the thief's thoughts.
| jj chapter 1 . 9/15/2011
ive near read any thing like this before and i thought it was great it really held a lot of my attention. great job
| Animegoil chapter 1 . 3/10/2010
Wow. That was fascinating! What an interesting difference between the three of them. This was brilliant!
| thisshitisgone chapter 1 . 10/17/2009
I really enjoy reading this, altough it was a bit confusing :S
I liked the description you made, and the relation between bakura and ryou, in which ryou isn't afraid(or not that much) of bakura, and he says he did it to protect his friends, he dind't mention yuugi, but everyone knoes why.. xD
ok, I don't know what I'm saying,
wrapping up. I liked your fic!
| ani chapter 1 . 9/11/2009
wow... alittle odd, got lost as to who was who a few times, but wow!
you're the first person i've seen that's wondered the same thing, what really happened in the past? everyone forgets that was a game, it was all changed/corrupted by yami bakura, the yugi-tachi and seto. it's nice to see at least one person try their hand at it.
i love how you did this too, ryou making the card tying them all together like that. the emotions came across beautifully; especially the thief king's fascination with ryou.
| ellfie chapter 1 . 2/20/2009
I can't believe this hasn't gotten more reviews, because this was amazing! Hard to explain why I liked it so much, but know that you did an amazing job!
Part of it must be the originality of this (at least compared to the fics I come across) and the way how the whole idea worked out so well and seems very possible to slip right into the original story. The concept was just so interesting, I loved it! And all the Bakuras were so nicely in character and still likeable, and the interaction between them all was funny as well as very well done.
I loved it~! Awesome job!
| Thief Mistress Thorn chapter 1 . 12/27/2008
That was pretty good! Confusing at first, but once I understood it, it was pretty genius. I figure you're not interestedin Yugioh anymore, as this was written about three years ago... oh, well. I hope you read this anyway. It really waas brilliant.
| Crystalline Maxwell chapter 1 . 9/3/2008
This is really excellent-I haven't seen any fic actually covering the Bakura dynamic in a way that I really enjoyed, and this is one I -definitely- enjoyed. I think it's due to become part of my personal canon. XD I love the way your Yami no Bakura is horribly conceited, and the way Tozoku-ou is simultaneously hopeful and still fairly crazy, and the way poor Ryou's just strung along for the ride. Lovely work all around~! (And while I know it's a million years old, I can't help reviewing it anyway, because it was just -that- tasty. xD)
| ZombieBlinky chapter 1 . 6/27/2007
Well, as scary as this seems... I'm second guessing myself and not making a whole long of sense. I'm confused... So there were two Bakuras, one Ryou, and... Ryou is the descendent of Bakura from la-la-la ages ago. I got that, and they were communicating from a card? Well, at least Bakura had some solace that his family line continues! Very nice!
| sk chapter 1 . 6/19/2007
This is such an adorable story! So cool! Write a sequel! Please!
| tsutsuji chapter 1 . 12/31/2006
I can't tell you how much I love this story, I would only be babbling... I love all three of them so much, and you've captured them all perfectly, just in the way I like to see them, especially Ryou. I love your style as well, the way you've written Thief King Bakura's thoughts and how he experiences things.
See, I am babbling. I'll just go favorite this and recommend it to everyone I know.
| Viridian Magpie chapter 1 . 7/9/2006
found this via ygo_goodfic, though I'm pretty sure I've seen your name before somewhere else... anyway, whoever recced your fic did right, because it is absolutely beautiful and so unique. I love your Thief King and the realism of your writing.
| adele4 chapter 1 . 6/17/2006
I love this story so very much. The way you write all three of them! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a cool portrayal of thief king Bakura: you manage to make him be so very human, even while still being – well, Bakura; and even though (or because) he’s surrounded only by ghosts and by death.
It’s a little sad to think that by the time he’ll actually meet Ryou, he will -be- Yami Bakura. He and Ryou seemed to get along so well. In a way. Then again, without Yami Bakura’s supervising, maybe they wouldn’t have. Ryou is loveable beyond words. I’m liking him a bit better just from reading this (and I love Ryou to begin with).
Yami Bakura’s voice is great too: so mean and arrogant and " 'There is no finer thing to be than me, after all,' his future self said with enormous satisfaction.” Really. And you never really come to forget he and the thief king are the same person, even while being very different.
For some reason, I’m thinking of YB as a voice much more than for Ryou. Probably because Ryou is physically present at least a little. The setting itself is the most awesome and original ever! Seriously. The whole scenery is so weird to imagine: first you just see thief king Bakura (and I love the whole part about the ‘hands’ – it must be pretty horrible, and it seems so long for him), and suddenly there’s this shift and I’m picturing and Ryou somewhere in modern Japan looking down at that card... And you can -feel- the way "the emptiness of the world" is back in the part after "Their presence vanished."
"one day he would need the help of this boy so much that he would need to protect him" is my favourite line I think, because this -is- Bakura and Ryou’s relationship, with all the twisted-ness, but coming from this point of view, there’s suddenly something very sweet about it too. I also like the paragraph from " Bakura did not pay attention. This was about his ghosts." a lot; it’s strange (and appearing perfectly logical) to think of Ryou as being a little like those ghosts to Bakura.. I wonder what Ryou is thinking of the ring spirit after this meeting (not that -he- seems to know).
Yep. Brilliance. But I’ll stop rambling about it now.
| SpookyMoose chapter 1 . 6/3/2006
That was...most interesting. I really did enjoy reading it. In fact, I think I'm going to have to invade your other fics now. *mwah hah hah*
And you doubly rock for the word "shora."
