whoa when i first got the alert that chapter one was in i went hysterical (thats how much ive been waiting for your next story) im hooked! and i read it and its awesome, ive been wondering from saving connor if you were going to have pettigrew escape from azkaban and yes you did so yeah i loved this chapter it was awesome! i cant wait until chapter two!

Lovely. Your depiction of Harry's shattered mind was very well done. It might just be me, but I think it could have used another example or two. Not more than that though, and I loved the garden scene. Lucius is bloody confusing. Are you going to have the dementors?

Yea! Thanks for the early update! You're so awesome. I had to a take a breath before reading this first chapter, recalling your warning about this being the darkest in the series. I'm such a Harry fan, especially a Harry like you've created; the turmoil and confusion in his mind is so heart-wrenching. I'm glad Draco is there to help Harry get through this.

I was so surprised to find an e-mail in my inbox from FF stating that you had posted a news story. Pleasantly surprised though. :-)

Again, I can't tell you how refreshing it is to read something of quality. I don't know how many times I've read travesties that had people apparationing, going to St. Mangos or talking about the Bow Who Lived. No joke.

yay. Lucius...I don't know what to think about. Those gifts should mean a lot, but the man still is a Death Eater...and now Wormtail's escaped and Harry's going home...I really wonder how safe Godric's Hollow is, and how his parents are going to react, even under the Fugitivus Animus...well, hopefully he'll have some time to talk to Connor too...

Excellent opening.

I'm glad you didn't skirt the issue of Dark magic, not that anything you'd written so far indicated you would. Harry's explosive power and teetering sanity towards the beginning (and throughout, though it seems he's getting a bit better) is fascinating in his perceptions of the world, what he chooses to let in, and the manifestations of his power (the lightning shapes and Locusta were brilliant strokes, in my opinion).

The truce dance, also has been fascinating me. I think the pureblood dance is a truly genius idea, and I'm glad you came up with such a terrific way to add demensions to the 'ooh-evil-scary-pureblood-dark-Slytherin' Malfoys et al. All the pureblood traditions you came up with, actually, I find excellent demensions to your story.

The fact that Harry has to keep recreating the figures to destroy is very profound, to me, but that might not be intentional, so if it isn't, pretend it is so I can pretend that my 'brilliant analytical mind' isn't just pulling things out my ass (excuse my french). Also the fact that he focuses his magic to protect even the grass is very powerful to me.

Lucius is becoming more and more complex, and I'm starting to even like him, or at least enjoy his time in the action, more and more. He leaves me guessing half the time as to whether his statements are part of the pureblood dance, sarcasm, or him speaking honestly.

Your characterizations is terrific, and I thank you for it. Too often have I read fanfics where characterization is ignored in favor of plot, or even just in favor of being amusing, which is great when I'm reading for humor, but when the genre says "Romance/Angst" I want romance and angst. You've lived up to my every expectation as someone who knows their way around the complexities of the English language and literature.

I can't wait for the next chapter!
