![]() ![]() Omg. I cannot believe this story. just ahhhhhh. i have never read anything so good. love, love, LOVE it. Thanks so much for writing it. i started reading it yesterday and have just been glued to it ever since. i love the portrayal of all the characters. i hate narcissa and snape being villains when they're not, but ur version is just perfect. i loved how draco and harry weren't perfect straight away, and how both aren't perfect but they just work. love it so so much. thank u. just wow. best drarry fic i've read in ages. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I like this story, it is very well written. A bit angstier than I usually prefer, but quite realistic for the situation :-) thanks for sharing your hard work with the world. |
![]() ![]() People forget that Harry is perfectly charming and endearing on his own! Good for him. I thought Jordan might have been a bit reminiscent of Harry, but the fact that they look like siblings is even funnier than Draco admiring that man's "tailoring" several chapters ago |
![]() ![]() Hooray! |
![]() ![]() A magic-less Narcissa without Lucius behind her didn't feel vulnerable to me because she's so proud and strong, so it wasn't until she faced Petunia that I realized what position she's in and just how scary Petuna is. |
![]() ![]() It never occurred to me that Snape's craftiness would make him good at dealing with children, since he's usually so awful to them in canon. This is a really interesting take! |
![]() ![]() oh my heart hurts for both of them. Draco really believes his father was a brave and good man. that must be so hard for Narcissa to carry alone, and Draco will be so upset if he ever finds out, which means he has to have his illusion shattered or Narcissa needs to carry it silently forever :( I love that Narcissa's been so good to Harry though. It's interesting to think she'd have been a lot less snobby if Lucius died and she didn't have pureblood ideology |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well finally! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was a great chapter, with very real emotions and behaviours for all the main characters. I think many of us would like to believe we are good or kind and have good intentions, and that may be true to a certain degree (Ultimately, we are complex, multifaceted people who exist on a spectrum of emotions and behaviours). And I think that many of us don't like to be confronted with uncomfortable and harsh truths. Many of us don't actually want to be burdened with the horrors of some people's lives (In theory, sure we can be understanding and whatnot, but in practice, it requires so much more out of us). Severus and Narcissa had suspected abuse, yet decided it was none of their concern, despite actually liking Harry. Their feelings for him were conditional, as if they pretended Harry's abuse didn't exist, then it would be true. Not saying they are good or bad, they helped him to a degree, but he needed so much more support. |
