|Reviews for Draco's Boy|
| Helen J Haslam chapter 16 . 1/14
Harry's slow decent in to love, lust and infatuation is utterly, utterly delightful! Hopefully now all the harrowing stuff is behind him he can begin to enjoy a few things in life!
I sort of squealed when the horse's name was Buckbeak ;-)
| Helen J Haslam chapter 15 . 1/14
Well if I cried at the bloody biscuits, you can bet I cried at the acceptance letter. And the sodding tree essay? You're evil. Brilliant, but slightly evil.
| Helen J Haslam chapter 14 . 1/14
The first half of this chapter was explosive and oddly satisfying. Hopefully they can all move on now!
The second half was utterly, utterly charming. When they were telling their story, sneaking in little bits of cannon, I just loved it. But Harry showing Draco his secret garden; priceless. Such a vulnerable moment for Harry, and Draco, for once, didn't put his foot in it ha ha. Loved it xxx
| Helen J Haslam chapter 13 . 1/14
When Draco tipped his biscuits onto Harry's plate I cried. I actually cried.
| Helen J Haslam chapter 10 . 1/14
Well...that was pretty tough. Poor Harry! He's become so hard, I guess that's to be expected. But poor Draco too, so oblivious and hurt :-(
| Helen J Haslam chapter 9 . 1/14
Oh that just about broke my heart. All their reactions were spot on, especially Narcissa's. I don't blame her for putting Draco first, it's just so sad for Harry. Gah! I have to keep reading!
| Helen J Haslam chapter 6 . 1/14
I really love the way you've slightly twisted Snape's character into this reimagining, very well done! And bless little cranky Harry and Draco :-D
| Helen J Haslam chapter 4 . 1/14
That was wonderful! I loved the way you reimagined all the characters, and actually I think it's very appropriate that you left out Ron, Hermione, even Neville. It keeps the focus on Draco (which is what everyone wants after all lol) I'm sure Harry will pay for it still, but it was all worth it for now :-D
| Helen J Haslam chapter 3 . 1/14
Heart breaking :-(
| Helen J Haslam chapter 2 . 1/14
That was so sweet it actually brought a tear to my eye! Sorry, I have a feeling I'm going to leave a lot of reviews lol ;-) xxx
| Helen J Haslam chapter 1 . 1/14
I came across this story via diydrarry on tumblr, so thought I'd give it a go. It's utterly charming so far, I'm really loving it. The post said the full story was actually on Hex Files, but as is my domain I wanted to read it here so I could favourite/review, and then just skip over to the other site for any missing scenes ;-)
| Maja chapter 25 . 1/8
Omg why would you cut that scene out, how could you?
| Dimplz chapter 31 . 1/4
I read and reviewed this over at Hex Files but wanted to leave the review here as well. That said -
Okay so this was my first non-magical au Drarry fic. I don't read non-magical aus because I don't think they would be all that interesting - I mean magic is what makes the HP series special, right? Well I saw this fic recommended on Tumblr by this great Drarry blog that I follow. She had a very long rec post (like 3 or 4 paragraphs long) about this fic and how excellent it was so I said 'why not' and gave it a read.
What a fantastic story! I absolutely completely loved it! Your story was riveting - the plot flowed and was fantastic. Your characters were excellent. I loved how non-magical Harry had so many Gryffindor tendencies and the same for Draco with Slytherin. I loved the familiar characters and terminology sprinkled all throughout. My favorite dynamic, though, was Severus and Harry. I cried several times reading this.
Thank you for such an excellent story. You sure have changed my mind about non-magical AU fics!
| Fanfic-Critic1805 chapter 31 . 12/24/2014
This was my first ever non-magic Harry Potter fanfiction and I have to say I'm quite impressed. You captured the feelings of each character expertly and setting description is most definitely your strong suit. I really fell in love with the boys relationship. Snape's inability to verbally express love was quite amusing or infuriating at only grammatical errors were a few forgotten commas and articles. My MAJOR personal problem with the story was the large chunk of text taken out for "mature content." I'm sure nobody reading the story was unaware what an M rating was for so I was disappointed by the removal. Otherwise, this was great work and I would rate this fanfiction 9.75/10
