Reviews for Wit of the Raven
DeathEaterElite chapter 5 . 4/20
why change so much rules for hogwarts?
thisiscorinth chapter 14 . 4/14
This is amazing!
Inkboy13 chapter 2 . 4/2
Actually Shapes mother was a pure blood but his father was a muggle. Hence Half Blood Price. His mothers maiden name was Prince. Other than that its a great story! Keep up the good work!
GreenAlien123 chapter 14 . 3/3
You should have considered making this an Original Novel and get someone to publish it. Your Universe is much more interesting than JKRs'.
Blacksilverstar chapter 14 . 10/4/2013
OMG, why did you abandon this story?!
It's literally one of the best HP-Fanfictions I've read so far (and there have been quite a lot)...
Your AU is very well done and I really like the quirks of the different characters... especially Hermione.
This story has sooo much potential...
Well, thanks for the 14. amazing chapters! (and it'd be awesome if you continued to write, but if you don't... do whatever makes you happy!
FE96jAFFAR chapter 14 . 9/23/2013
This is an awesome story - it is much more "brutal" than canon, but goes so much more in depth and shows a much more gritty, realistic version of the wizarding world.
Sar'Kalu chapter 14 . 8/20/2013
Excessively explicit, ingeniously written and delightfully detailed; loving it. Although, barring the occasional mistake, toning down the nature of the characters would be advisable, unless you want the fic to be taken down on a part of poor language.
twistyguru chapter 6 . 8/16/2013
Physics? At a magic school? Oh, the (canon) horrors! *gasps* ;)
twistyguru chapter 5 . 8/15/2013
Well, it's certainly not canon...
twistyguru chapter 2 . 8/15/2013
Great chapter! I like seeing Snape be not quite such a bloody arse (in the vernacular); after all, Harry may wear the face of his most hated enemy, but the eyes-the windows to the soul-are Lilly's. And, giving Harry a bit of a sensible introduction to the wizarding world is only, well, sensible...totally unlike canon. ;)
I enjoyed the bit with Ollivander, as well. Really enjoying the fic!
twistyguru chapter 1 . 8/15/2013
The evil that men do lives long after them...as do their fan fictions. I've just found this story (through a re-read of a story by Old Crow, and his recs after his chapters), and completely agree about the missed opportunities in JKRs world. Of course, my theory for years has been that those very missed opportunities are one of the main reasons why HP fics are so screamingly popular...we're trying to FIX them, patch the holes, stitch up the loose and flopping parts, and generally make a rich universe a better, more consistent and coherent place. I look forward to seeing where you're going with this piece.
Guest chapter 2 . 8/1/2013
Snape is a half blood. Muggle father...
BetweenPessimistAndRealist chapter 2 . 6/26/2013
Sorry about this, but according to the books Severus Snape's father was an abusive muggle and his mother was a pureblood witch called Eileen Prince. He was also apparently in love with Harry's mother and they grew up together were friends in Hogwarts despite being in different Houses they would have remained so if Snape had not called Lily a mudblood in front of a number of people when she came to his defense after a prank done by James Potter and the rest of the Marauders. If the difference is intentional could you place a warning in the summary or something? Again Sorry, but I figured it was better to point it out so that you at least had the option of changing thing to make them more cannon if someone hadn't already told you (or if you hadn't found out on your own).
Team503 chapter 14 . 6/13/2013
It's a shame this absolutely fascinating story ended up abandoned. :( I did really enjoy this version of Harry!
