HILARIOUS! I LOVE IT! you should really write more stories with Aria...
| Sarah Crawford chapter 10 . 11/14/2008
Great little story. I expected right away that Aria’s date would be Raoul’s son. Not sure what made it obvious, but it was entertaining to read anyway. I’m thrilled that you put Nadir in the story. *hugs Nadir* I love him too. But he certainly would not take the nonchalant attitude you have given him about Erik’s wish to kill Raoul’s son. After all, it was Nadir that led Raoul to rescue Christine when Erik kidnapped her. Be careful of modern details in your period stories. At lot of things such as the word “fop” (even thought many authors use it), other modern phrases, and even our modern idea of dating do not fit well into this time period. Courtship was much more formal during the Victorian era, much slower than the dating of today, always chaperoned, and almost always at the girl’s home. It is also unlikely that the opera would have so many problems. The arts are competitive. Despite the impression the 2004 movie gives people, lead singers have competition and do not continue to sing the lead if they are awful singers. Somehow, despite the fact that just about everything in this story is highly unrealistic, I enjoyed it anyway. It was cute, and the ending made me laugh.
