Okay, rule one of writing: Show, don't tell.
| MathGirl987 chapter 13 . 11/4/2013
So much confusion in the first half of this chapter! But Harry finally confessed his feelings in the beginning! Don't feel like you were cheating, Harry, they were the same person! Yay they're gonna go on a date! This story was amazing, and I love the quote at the end!
Sorry, if my comments are a bit too loud/crazy/erratic, but it is ;looks at the clock- one fifty eight in the morning. But a great story is always good!
| MathGirl987 chapter 12 . 11/4/2013
Oh, Harry, don't think that way! Sevy never meant to hurt you! Sevy, you were supposed to kiss some sense into that boy! Believe Sevy, Harry! But do take some time to sort out your confusion. Poor Sevy, too, because Harry kept interrupting him and shooting accusations at him.
Alas! Next chapter is the last!
| MathGirl987 chapter 11 . 11/4/2013
You've gone too far Dumbledore! You'll end up splitting Harry and Sevy apart! Poor Harry. He thinks that it was all planned out. Dumbledore did have some sort of plan, but Sevy didn't notice until he was already falling for him. Go get Harry, Sevy! Proclaim your love!
| MathGirl987 chapter 10 . 11/4/2013
Kind of a short chapter, but poor Harry. How his smile didn't seem to reach his eyes in the beginning of this chapter. I like that they got along by the end.
| MathGirl987 chapter 9 . 11/4/2013
Yes, Ron deserves the tummy-aches. I love how nervous the boys (boy and man?) were when they were trying to get each other a gift! The gifts they got were awesome. Books are life, and the owl sounds beautiful! Oh, Harry, I'm not sure all boys are like that. Surely you'll think differently soon.
| MathGirl987 chapter 8 . 11/4/2013
Poor Harry! What a jerk you were, Ron! Sevy has every right to curse you to the ninth circle of hell! The ending of this chapter is interesting. However, I usually like those types of endings. Stay strong, Sevy! And Harry!
| MathGirl987 chapter 7 . 11/4/2013
Oh, Harry, if only you knew! Yes, Sevy, accept your feelings for what they are! I like how Dumbledore dodged the teacup; you were right, it was amusing.
| MathGirl987 chapter 6 . 11/4/2013
Sevy, why hate the rain? It is such a pleasant thing. Harry's thought about it possibly being a date was amusing. He probably would have thought he was dreaming if he knew Alan was Snape. Malfoy's insulting and mean as always, but that's how I like him! I love how Snape is impressed with Harry's defending himself and keeping himself from harming Draco.
| MathGirl987 chapter 5 . 11/4/2013
Poor Harry. Having his best friends abandon him. He even defended them. I'm glad that Harry and Snape exchanged apologies, and the ending of this chapter I liked as well.
| MathGirl987 chapter 4 . 11/4/2013
I liked how surprised Severus was when Harry admitted he didn't know how to do some things. I see it is a habit of him to sneer and be rude to Harry, but he seems to be trying. I like how they seem to have somewhat bonded over Potions.
| MathGirl987 chapter 3 . 11/4/2013
I started laughing so much when I read 'Alan Rickman' that I had to stop reading and look at the comments to see the others' reactions! Brilliant, mate! Don't worry about some of the dislike of you using the name, the majority of us loved it. I started laughing when Dumbledore introduce 'Alan Rickman'. I like how Harry defended Snape. I also loved Snape's mini-argument with the Sorting Hat. I can't wait to see how this story progresses! Off to read more.
| CheyRain chapter 3 . 10/4/2013
I actually think using the name Alan Rickman detracts from the story as every time it is used I am jerked back to reality instead of sinking into the fantasy world of fanfiction. I personally would've preferred Darwin Floogershnaut, or Alex Johnson. Yes, I know the first one at least is silly but it doesn't distract nor detract quite as much. Although, I think Adrian Trenchant. Adrian is a Latin or Old English name meaning Black, Dark, or of the Adriatic and is typically used meaning Dark One. Severus is a Latin name as well so I believe it fits, especially with his dour personality. Trenchant is a Latin or Old French meaning caustic, cutting, incisive, keen, clear-cut and distinct, all of which fit the acerbic professor.
I found trenchant on as a synonym for harsh.
