So I see this fic is what inspired kurinoone‘s darkness within. Overall, while an intriguing fic, I feel like it’s more a mystery compared to full package than kurinoone delivered with her take on a dark Harry. Though i appreciate you not making Harry go through a horrible child abuse, i don’t know if Voldy actually loving him and him as a result, be much more ruthless killer is any better. And I wish there more chapters/scenes between james, lily, and harry, to actually make his choice to spare them after escaping make more sense. And though less annoying, Dorian is no Damian.

To all the haters you deal with they should just learn how to accept and appreciate good work and good writing. As a author myself, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I have no idea why people are saying your work was bad. To be honest, you are in the top 30% of authors I have read and top 10% of all fanfiction authors I have read. (Archive of our own really sucks) But you are better than most I have read on this site. Also, I thought your plot was good. While it could have benefitted from you including a proper time skip in two or three places, it is definitely one of the best I have read. And when it comes to story, very few can actually provoke an emotional response from me and I was crying my eyes out be the end, which is what I want in a book. But I support your decision to move on from Harry Potter fanfiction, as you deserve to be happy. You likely won’t see this, but if you do, thank you for not actually taking it down. I enjoyed the story and I am glad I got to read it even though you don’t write anymore.

Wouldn't James have been able to recognise the scents of Wormtail and a stranger? He should have used Prongs to sniff out the intruder. I would have thought he was smart enough to use every trick he knew, since he's a Marauder.
