Reviews for 20 Things We Learnt About Kuchiki Rukia |
---|
![]() ![]() ![]() deeply introspective and fascinating fic-loved it. Especially the 15th one: it gives a whole new perspective to her killing of kaien, not just garden-variety fear of her actions, but of herself. It's a brilliant way to look at it and that specific one has stuck in my mind (Why i'm writing this comment today). Truly a testament to her characterisation |
![]() ![]() ![]() "I made Rukia's son up, but he probably belongs more to his mother than to anyone else." Most beautiful disclaimer I've read upon here, especially from an author whose status in FFN is quite inactive. I was going through my list of Favorite Stories and remembered I haven't done reviews for each of them. Not that it feels obligatory! But I'd like to give my appreciation to the written fics I probably would've forgotten if I decided to shut from writing my own as well. I found a certain sadness in this 'biography' that is all too lovely to ignore. I've read it many times now and another as of today. Maybe it's because of your subtlety, or the little comments you made told from Rukia's friends (and herself)... I admire that vagueness you always left your readers. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is my second favourite Bleach one-shot and the start of my love affair with Rukia's character. This is how I thought about her throughout the series, regardeless of what Kubo Tite was doing. The phrase "Rukia made everything difficult for herself. People forget how difficult she made it for others." stayed with me. Because it is a quintessentially Rukia. And the strange dynamic between her and Renji that seeps though the whole story... Actually, while I was writing this, I realised that while the story is written by Rukia's son, there is no father in the picture... Whatever presumed love interests there are, are unrealised, left behind. Unimportant. And yet there is a strong sense of longing in both Renji and Ichigo. And her son. Loving her is another thing Rukia made difficult for others. It is also one of the main reason I started reading fanfiction once upon a time. It's a perfect example of fiction being better than reality. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I've been searching for this forever! And by dumb luck, I stumbled upon it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I loved the way you wrote this story. It was a little bit confusing and hilarious. Great job! |
![]() ![]() It's been years and years but this still remains my favourite one-shot. You are an inspirational writer and I hope you get this but I want to say I've probably read and re-read your pieces at least 10 times. You inspired a teenage me to try my hand at writing as well, albeit no where as successfully as you have. The first time I read this I didn't get it, but now, almost 8 years later I understand everything. Thank you for this wonderful journey through fanfiction. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Figures that Rukia becomes an urban legend. (I totally forgot to review this and so am reviewing now. I bet she just up and disappeared one day. I have no clue who she's married to except not Ichigo. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is so marvelous. The mood you create with your words is just so intense. One of my favorites. |
![]() ![]() My favorite of your stories so far, I admit I've only been reading the Bleach and Hitchhikers stuff, it succinctly and whimsically shows off the variety of ways Rukia has created 'hearts' (and frustration and other things) with those around her in her lifetime. Makes of Rukia also what I think she deserves... to be the most illusively legendary of her illustrious peers. |
![]() ![]() ![]() how did she died? and who is the father? it's depressing :( |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very original story here, I liked it, especially the subtle way you explored her impact on choice members of the cast. Good job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Marvelous. It was beautifully carried out, and offered some wonderful insight. That last line was perfect, though these parts really touched me, too: ["I did not draw pictures of my mother, as children usually do. She seemed to me already to be the most perfect work of art."] ["They remember only that she flew. They forget the people she left behind."] Loved it. ;] |
![]() ![]() ![]() pretty damn good. deserving of rawr! 5/5 |
![]() ![]() ![]() Amazingly deep and perceptive. I think the true side of Rukia rang out through this. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I felt like I was reading a sad documentary video... It's a bit depressing, and a bit funny at the same time... It's gotta be the most awkward fic I've ever read... i feel a bit speechless... |
