Awwwww this is so sad :( xoxo

I loved this story! You expressed it absolutely stunningly- the idea of Merlin being angry with Mab because he had tried to judge her by his own morals and feelings rather than trying to judge her by her own.
I also like the line about some part of Mab meeting the mortal standards he set- she does express many positive qualities from a human point of view, as well as some negative ones. Also, interesting to note that often, Merlin himself doesn't always meet these mortal standards he judges by, and so he should have been able to understand Mab far sooner. Stupid Merlin.

Absolutely stunning. I adored it.
"He knew that he could not bear to see a Goddess die."

I am truly in awe. This is is so deep, so moving. Merlin finally realizes the reasons behind Mab's seemingly heartless behavior and learns that seeing as she is truly a goddess he should not have judged her by moral standards...but he has realized this a little too late. Beautiful simply beautiful! *adds to favorites*
