| Luthien and Tari Oronar chapter 8 . 8/25/2006
Yay! You updated! Thanks a million times! I'm glad that Tarannon is starting to get normal again. Hopefully, he is able to get back in the rhythm of life after he's pardoned!
| Luthien and Tari Oronar chapter 7 . 8/13/2006
Please update! The wait is killing me! Did you know that I just spent an hour trying to find this story in the vain hope that it had been updated! (Even though it's on my story alert). I really really really really (etc.) love this story! Anyhow...yeah...all that surfing this website has kind of gotten to my brains...:D
| Earendil Eldar chapter 4 . 5/15/2006
This is a very enjoyable story. Love Pip's cameo, and will be waiting to see what happens next. Hope the poor man gets justice!
| kateydidnt chapter 3 . 4/14/2006
Fantastic story dea. I really like it.
I look forward to more.
| Yemi Hikari chapter 2 . 2/19/2006
Man, I hate the Steward. That is absoluty painful torture!
| The Lauderdale chapter 1 . 2/16/2006
Damn Denethor anyway! Only his madness lends him any excuse for this: paranoid and wary of Gandalf as he is, he should have been willing to credit Tarannon's story with at least the potential for veracity. I hope you are planning to continue this story: I'm guessing you are since you provided the date and a back-story for Tarannon's stint at guarding the beacon (Castamir, the fight, etc.) and since Tarannon is to live, although his punishment is cruel enough to be sure. Even if/when he is exonerated, he will bear this brand for the rest of his days. What becomes of a man marked as a traitor, even if his treachery is disproven?
It seems strange that there should not be an immediate instinct on Tarannon's part to dowse the flames or to in any way abort the fire. You might want a line or two describing that instinct or any attempts he makes, or describing his immediate knowledge that such efforts would be futile: "Already the flames leapt heavenward and there would be no undoing what had transpired," or something to that effect...
| Frodo's sister chapter 1 . 2/12/2006
I feel sorry for poor Tarannon. Denethor is really mean. I like how he made sure that Beregon didn't get into any trouble. It would have caused hardship on his family if he had.
| Yemi Hikari chapter 1 . 2/12/2006
I allways hated Lord Denethor, at least as he was when the shadow took his heart. No telling what he was like before hand. Perhaps like in the book, where another man was pronounced traitor for saving Forimer, Aragorn could parden him when he is king?
| Lightmare852 chapter 1 . 2/12/2006
Opps for Tarannon. Will there be another chapter? I hope so.
| AggieVGirl chapter 1 . 2/12/2006
I never thought of the guards on duty when the beckon was lit. Definately goes on my favorites list, I love stories about the lesser characters and such. Wonderfully written to without being unbelievable.
| Cheez Socks chapter 1 . 2/12/2006
This was very well written, I thuroughly enjpoyed reading it. As far as I saw, it was free of typos et cetera. I love that word... et cetera... Anyways, great story, will there be more? I'm generally a bad judge of weather things ar intended to be one shots or longer stories. So, wonderful story, I cant wait to read more of your work.
| choking.on.peanut.butter chapter 1 . 2/12/2006
Stupid Denethor. I laughed when he burst into flame in the movie. ((laughs to self like weirdo he is)) I don't normally read LOTR, I'm more for Redwall saga, but LOTR rocks! I just read 'the Hobbit', and I'm looking for the rest of the books. I'm surprised I haven't read the LOTR books yet. Anyways, good story so far! I saw Pippin's name in the summary, and even though he wasn't mentioned in the actual story, it had something to do with Peregrin Took, so it's all good! Interesting names, by the way. Well, gotta go now, I'm going to worship Pippin by watching every moment he is in the Fellowship of the Ring.
((does happy frst reveiwer dance)) Whoo! (ye, I am hyper. VERY hyper!)
