| Zanyotaku chapter 1 . 1/28/2013
It's not necessarily OOC, Robin has shown that he can be caring and compassionate, so I don't think this is much of a stretch, besides, what's fanfiction for? :)
Very interesting and dark, it's certainly a different way to think about it..., it wasn't over-the-top and it just felt...I dunno, right? Anyway, it was pretty cool! I liked this story!

Wow. Gotta love me some Maya Angelou. That poem is INTENSE.
So's your story. Nice approach, excellent job of explaining her attitude toward the Silence. And, yeah, maybe Robin was a little OOC, but when someone you love is dying all bets are off.

Oh my godddddd you are amazing. I'm on a serious RobRae kick right now, and I can't find anything new that's decent, so I started re-reading all your fab fics AND the ones I'd never read before (like this one!) and I am reminded of how incredible you are. So please crank out more of the amazing fics!

| Aileene chapter 1 . 2/25/2007
Again the emotion of one of your stories blows me away. I came onto after the challenge was over, but I have read some of the results from it. Your usage of the phrase "Silence is safe, that much she knew" has got to be one of the best though. It didn't sound forced or ooc.
I love this one,
| delphine60 chapter 1 . 11/8/2006
I HATE song stories, I can't stand them and they never work. You my dear have managed to blow that thought out of the water. Every single story I've read of yours is well thought out, well written, with just the right amount of emotion even for pairing I would never have dreamed. There are very few RaeRob tories that seem to work, and so far I havent been dissapointed with a single one of yours. Although I will say I need to stop reading them before I go to bed cause then I end up crying.
| Final Fight chapter 1 . 6/23/2006
Still your best.
Still one of the greatest.
| lolopixie chapter 1 . 5/5/2006
Oh my gosh, I was completely blown away by this piece. It was so deep and thought-provoking, filled with more emotions than I would have thought possible for a story about "silence". And I must say, this has go to be the best usage of the "Silence is safe" line that I've read. It was such an original idea, and even though there was very little action, the reader is completely pulled into the story. It tugged at my heart when Robin first spoke to her and I realized what was going on. Whoa. You did such an excellent job with this story, it's definitely going on my favorites list. I just can't believe I didn't find this fic sooner. So once again, awesome story, you're very talented, and keep up the great work.
| SignSeeker chapter 1 . 5/3/2006
I like Raven and her silences, and I like that she can tell them apart. I also like that Raven doesn't always want to be silent, and that Robin doesn't want her to either.
| Brimseye chapter 1 . 4/22/2006

| alena-chan chapter 1 . 2/15/2006
Another entry for my challenge... and this story is so wonderful...
As you said, the line 'Silence was safe, that much she/he knew' was used often, but none in the way you used the line.
It was great to read such a deep and beautifully written story...
'And something in his voice made her curious, made her feel, made her remember.
Demon, Outcast, Sorceress...
Friend, Sister, Lover...'
These lines are my favourites... such beautiful and awesome lines...
But I absolutely loved Robin in this story... I don't think that he was too OOC... not in the situation he was in...
I think you managed to portray him quite perfectly and he was just so perfect. The way he called out for Raven and somehow confessed his love... It doesn't have to be necessarily his love, but how much he cares for Raven.
It was just so great and the line: “Thank you...” he whispered, leaning down to lay his head on her stomach, “...for refusing.” … just pulled at my heartstrings…
I really can’t tell you enough how beautiful this story was and how much I loved this story… and it inspired me to write a story on my own… so, thanks for that… _
And thank you very much for writing yet another story for my challenge and I’m proud to tell you that my story for your challenge will be out on Saturday or Sunday… _
| Lord Malachite chapter 1 . 2/14/2006
There aren't enough quality Robin/Raven works out there, and what makes yours so attractive is that you do it with all the right elements. It's never about mush. Your stories are filled with heart and sole because they are not so much about heroes with feelings, they are about people being people. People who eat and sleep and breathe and bleed and feel. The struggles you portray become the struggles of the reader, and it's all put together with a lot of grace and elegance not often found on a website of this nature. I have a profound respect for your work and I always look forward to reading more of it. I wish I had more time to spend on the computer so that I could devote myself to that noble endeavor a bit more often. Please don't hang up your act anytime soon!
