![]() ![]() ![]() Albus is a duck |
![]() ![]() Why couldn't harry just apparate with tom? |
![]() ![]() Used ascent instead of assent |
![]() ![]() Dudley's second bedroom was not bare. It was filled with all sorts of junk and books. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Tom's Muggle relatives are already dead when he's twelve? I thought he murdered them as an adult - or is Harry lying to him to avoid hurting Tom's feelings by admitting that Tom's father used magic to force Tom's father to marry her, and that he fled when he realised what she had been doing? This story could be more interesting if Tom discovers that, in addition to his new adoptive father who is barely adult, he has a biological father still alive who wants nothing to do with his wizarding son. Considering Harry's grief over having grown up as an actual orphan (and his consequent indignation with Remus Lupin for wanting to join Harry on his adventures instead of staying with his wife and child), it could have been even more interesting (and potentially disastrous) if Harry tried to bring a reconciliation about between the two Tom Riddles. Lois McMaster Bujold explores this sort of territory in The Warrior's Apprentice. Seventeen-year-old Miles is on a trip with his bodyguard and his bodyguard's daughter, Elena, who is Miles's best friend and first love. Elena has never known her mother, believes that she is dead but doesn't know much about the circumstances or where she was buried, except that it seemed to have been during a war - the same war in which Miles's own parents had met and fallen in love. Miles resolves to help Elena find out the truth. Unfortunately, no-one had explained to him that Elena's mother was a prisoner of war whom Elena's father had raped - so when they meet her again, not surprisingly, things don't go well. Warning: Major Character Death, loads of angst - I'd definitely recommend it, but maybe read the two books before it, Shards Of Honour and Barrayar, if you want to understand more of the background. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great writing here honey! I loved this and cannot wait to read the next part! ;o) |
![]() ![]() ![]() good! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I thought it was interesting that you decided to end here as it feels more like the start of a story than an end. It's a pity you chose not to continue the sequel- I would have liked to see Harry and Tom form a bond. I appreciate your effort in writing this. |
![]() ![]() Great story! Good writing and flow. Definitely one of the best Harry goes back in time and finds Tom fics out there. Thanks for sharing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, I actually didn't expect to get to the ending... This was also a really good ending! Very original and, I think, very fitting. It kinda just feels right, dragging on the story probably would have maybe had some readers lose interest. But this was just perfect for me, so I thank you! Thank you for this wonderful story, everything was beautiful. |
![]() ![]() Tom's an obnoxious little sot isn't he? |
![]() ![]() Curious |
![]() ![]() Oy. Oh dear. |
![]() ![]() Oooohhhhh, this seems good...perhaps... |
