| Ken-Zero chapter 6 . 10/24/2011
So this is only like my fourteenth time reading this in the years since I discovered it. I'm such a slacker.
I really hope you get the idea to continue this one day, but as so many other people have already commented (and as I know from experience) I understand that sometimes the writing just stops coming, gives up the ghost, dries up, and/or applies some other overused metaphor.
I would love to see exactly how Souko gets out of her current predicament; it seems the logical course is to stun the goon holding her, grab the free-standing rifle, hit him again with a rifle butt, then incapacitate/kill the other goon. The scientist herself hasn't been shown (yet) to have a weapon so I doubt she'd be in the "combat" (such as it may be). After that...who knows? Souko didn't have a chance to radio to the TdD so maybe she and Kaname won't have to make a mad dash for the RK-92s this time.
Here I am talking like it's only a week until the next chapter :)
Anyway, the story is of very good quality, and I happen to enjoy the departures from the standard FMP storyline.
Comically enough, I have a hard time picturing Souko WITHOUT hair the same color as Tessa's, though you stated right away that Souko's hair is the same dark shade as Sousuke's. Talk about your preconceived notions/mental pictures :)
Anyway, now it's time to read the other things you've written!
| JC chapter 6 . 7/28/2011
This good but,I think it would be better,if Sagara and Chidori exchanged gender instead of just one changed.
| Orrunan chapter 6 . 3/25/2011
This is a wonderful genderbending fic. usually I don't read the ilk, because the only reason is to get character a to date character b, but in this case I thought it might keep Kaname and Tessa from being interested in girlysuke "that way" and how would that affect the dynamics?
I was right to give this a chance. Kaname is giving Souko a lot more slack than she gave to Sousuke, probably because she can identify with a girl easier and Souko would appear more harmless due to gender stereotypes. How Tessa considers her a good friend is also wonderful. And Shinji is her fanboy!
But the best part isn't this at all. It is all the little things that crop up to make a big whole and the difference in the world, and also the quality writing, a LOT of FMP research you have done, a lot of non-FMP research you have done and plain everything. I think you might not intend to continue this and as an author I understand how that can happen even if the story is a good one, but should you choose to do so I will definitely read it.
| CrimsonNoble chapter 4 . 6/16/2010
I'm digging the hell out of this fic. I laughed pretty frequently, and I have no quibbles with the characterization.
The only thing that's bothered me is the term "accidental discharge". That's reserved for mechanical failure in a firearm, any shots fired through a pull of the trigger are "negligent discharge", because goddamnit, that's the user's fault. The rest of the gunporn I appreciate, however.
| ArmorBlade chapter 6 . 11/2/2009
Excellent, but don't be afraid to tweak the rest of the FMP plot line from here on. Whether you really even needed to do that for the backgound is questionable though.
Also like the implications that Kaname's friends tease Souko being lesbian. Good natural vibe to it even if it won't work out that way, still very entertaining. And Shinji trying to take her panties instead was good insight for that challenge and their resulting comradeship.
| Guardoflight chapter 6 . 9/11/2009
A very well written piece and engaging with interesting plot changes while still remaining close to the original story.
I sersiously hope you continue with this and I look forward to the next chapter.
| 1st Lieutenant chapter 6 . 2/14/2009
Nice change of characters. Good story. Want to read more. More chapters please.
| Arch3rher0 chapter 6 . 1/5/2009
I understand why you would stop here; after this point, ArmSlaves are involved, so it starts to get hard to write about.
But anyway, this fic was impressively well written, this is almost like watching the anime, everything is in character, and Sousuke/Souko is still clueless.
Even if I understand why you would stop, I would still love to read more of this!
| an1979 chapter 1 . 8/26/2008
I realy hope that some day you will finish this fic.
I read it 2 times already and every time it fantastic.
It would be a pity not finish it.
Anyway thank you for writing it.
Stil waiting for chapter 7 - Your faithful reader.
| sasahara17 chapter 1 . 7/16/2008
It's been a long time coming but...
This was one of the major inspirations that got me writing in the first place! *Salutes*
| Obiki Doragon chapter 6 . 7/15/2008
A story of unprecidented achivement. Keeping Sousuke, excuse me Souko in character and yet still naive is a talent that cannot be overlooked. Also the shoujo-ai implications of this fic is certainly a breath of fresh air to the community of fanfiction that is being over run by yaoi fangirls, no offense to the mentioned party of course.
| Sheo Darren chapter 6 . 7/6/2008
Two chapters worth of steadily-growing tension is about to explosively unwind, as both Sousuke and the Mithril crew leap into action after much agonizing and waiting. I cannot wait to see how this phase unfolds.
| Sheo Darren chapter 5 . 7/5/2008
A gripping addition. The chapter most like the canon series. Souko's reaction to Gauron is surprising. I mean, an interesting opponent? Gauron made Sousuke very uneasy, so Souko's thought makes for an interesting development to follow.
| Sheo Darren chapter 4 . 7/5/2008
An excellent twist there. The developing camaraderie between Souko and Shinji is quite interesting. Not to mention Shinji's one-sided interest in Souko herself. Fumoffu sure is going to be amusing if you ever get to it.
*thinks of the onsen scene*
The girls shopping for swimsuits leaves so much to the imagination, yet gives enough to work with. Especially with Weber to put a dash of excitement in things.
Best chapter so far! I request for more!
| Sheo Darren chapter 3 . 7/5/2008
The story slows down to expand on seemingly mundane matters like how Souko copes with school life (all right, that's not mundane at all _), but the delivery remains sterling, and the change in pace does effectively highlight the rather different way Kaname views Shouko in place of Sousuke. Helps to be a girl when it comes to chummy-chummy moments.
Also, for some reason, I'm getting vibes of Maria-sama ga Miteiru.
Keep it up!
