| donttrustdontfeardontask chapter 10 . 7/10/2006
I guess I have to review now...
It's not that I don't want to though...
I'm just kinda tired right now
But that was still AMAZING!
I really really really just LOVED the ending!
It was so sweet!
She called Zakuro "Okaa-san"
What can I say?
This fanfic was just amazing
I did have one little issue though...
When you put "Zakuro THEN" did this...
I don't know why...
But that just really REALLY bugs me
If someone insists on putting in a 'then'...
I'd prefer it if they put "THEN she/he did this"
But it's all good 'cuz you only used it once
I did, indeed, read your revised chapter as soon as it came out
And I liked it!
Momoka is so cute!
This fanfic was really really good and I look forward to the sequel!
| Codename Cheshire Cat chapter 9 . 6/25/2006
I thinnk this story totally rocks! And I really hope you are going to finish it, because it's one of the best I have ever read.
| Empty Melodies chapter 9 . 6/16/2006

Okay, what the heck. Where did Zakuro's prince charming come from, and why haven't you prepared us for his introduction beforehand? Finding solace from Akasaka or Aneko, or even Mint’s grandmother would have a little more poignancy to it, but you just pulled this guy out of thin air to fill a plot convention.
In other news, we’ve entered Bizzaro world, where blue is red, up is down, and we bash Ichigo instead of Masaya! Thank you for being the first authoress to write a break-up scenario for this couple that is fair to both parties, and which addresses the fact that, yes, Ichigo really is a cheating bitch. (Or the feline equivalent). Yes, it makes sense that Masaya can't provide the intimacy and protection she needs while so far away in England, but the e-mail shows just how faithless and fickle Ichigo has been towards her devoted samurai. Both are in the wrong.
You break some wonderful new ground in portraying Ichigo and Masaya, but at the same time fall back on Deus ex Machina to prod Zakuro's tale in a preferred direction.
With one chapter to go, I’m skeptical of what you’re getting out of new characters so belatedly introduced.

That was another AMAZING chapter!
So the next chapter is gonna be the last?
That's so sad!
But it's also happy...
'Cuz I wanna know what'll happen...
But I don't want it to end!
It's such a good story!
I'd comment on some parts that I especially like
Like I'd normally do...
But it's so hard 'cuz I liked the whole entire chapter!
But I did especially like Makaio denying the fact that his cereal was childish
I'm on the edge of my seat!
Cliffies are awesome yet EVIL at the same time!
Please update ASAP!

YEOW, this one's on fire! Zakuro's weakening, and raging recovery are perfectly paced - I'm there over her shoulder, experiencing the faltering, and the snap-back as well. That final image of Zakuro with the cross raised to strike really paints her as a religious warrior, an emissary for her faith.
Have to say, I usually cringe at stories that show Zakuro in a weakened state; more often than not she just collapses into a helpless, damsel in distress angst better suited to Ichigo. Yours worked. You've had good build-up of unspoken skeletons in her closet (the graves) and established the wolf-girl as a kind of older sister looking out for her 'pack'. So how appropriate is it for her to show cracks when she comes across a problem no amount of maturity, responsibility or wisdom can heal?
Loved your interpretation of Zakuro's flashback and the history with her father. And speaking of flashbacks, how cool is it that we get to see the real Kuro at the ballroom, no longer distorted with self-righteous slanting?
| Semaphora chapter 1 . 5/28/2006
My god. I read this, and now I've fallen in love with it. You portray the characters so well!
Ryou's explanation of death and scientific theories associated with it was really well thought of. Lol. I don't know what to believe.
My favorite thing about it is how everyone is in character, there are no spelling mistakes (that I can find) and just the whole plot and story in general
Albeit I find it quite sad that Mint's parents died. And I wonder, will this be a Ryou/Ichigo? *cocks eyebrow* I hope so.
| donttrustdontfeardontask chapter 8 . 5/24/2006
That was so good!
But I hate cliffies!
Kuro is possessing Minto?
That's so creepy...
And Zakuro's life is...
I should be doing my homework now...
I HATE CLIFFIES!
| Tylec Asroc chapter 7 . 5/17/2006
Hmm, Zakuro is up to something again - and it might be a plan quite contrary to Lettuce's helpful approach.
I think the transformation sequences worked much better in this chapter without the pose-by-pose description. And an interesting image of Lettuce, swimming through the air.
| donttrustdontfeardontask chapter 7 . 5/5/2006
Another excellent chapter!
I really like this!
Poor Lettuce though...
I'm running out of time so I gotta cut this short
I'm really looking forward to the next one!
Update ASAP pweese!
| Tylec Asroc chapter 6 . 5/3/2006
I just got through your rant about the Gummi-bear ship, and realized I hadn't left my thoughts for chapter 6.
What a neat image to begin Kuro's narration - clouds and rain that are both sinister and beautiful, and a sky mixed in both storm and "golden light". To me it highlights the mixed position of Kuro as victim and antagonist, also suggesting that she is not beyond redemption (glimmering hint of hope). It's quite an appropriate opener for a chapter that will balance off the "crazy girl" descriptions from Aneko with Kuro's self-narrated defense as an unappreciated child.
Kuro's story certainly tells a different truth than Aneko, jumping from the party embarassments to her night of murder, while glossing over her fussy eating, the bedroom isolation and the cake incident with her mother. As Kuro tells it, she's quite mentally balanced, never isolated herself with bizarre behavior, and the ballroom was the tipping point that lead her to kill.
Very appropriate role for Lettuce at the end, considering she was the peace-maker in the series, looking to resolve the alien invasion through diplomacy and talk.
