![]() ![]() ![]() Great story ! I am glad you finished it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() oh bats! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Long distance relationships are hard. But I bet some school in the UK could use an English teacher. Only if they have a good bakery, though. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hermione told the absolute truth in her text to Artie. And I suspect there will be mass paying off of bets back in Britain, just saying. I'm sure the locals have seen Severus come awake with Hermione's visit and are already planning the wedding (no doubt the bakery will provide most of the menu, though some chickens are in for a shortened lifespan). Fresh pastries are the best-I once walked past a Krispy Kreme right when they were putting the crack in...drool. And of *course* they're not already attracted to each other, they lie to themselves...snicker. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Excellent! They are nearly professional equals now in the mental arts (though I would be very surprised if Snape has totally stopped brewing). Yes, they should both write that book. And if that leads to shacking up together, oh well...G |
![]() ![]() ![]() I didn't think he'd go back to teaching! That one was a surprise. Nice recap of everything that's happened. And it's good that he's revered back in Britain, but I somehow doubt that would have been the case if he'd stayed. It's far easier to deal with an absent or dead hero than a cantankerous Snape in person. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Glad Voldie is dead. But what a large time gap (and apparently Albus has used the Philosopher Stone because he's very obviously intent on living forever, or as long as Flamel, anyway). I am a little surprised that Snape didn't give Hermione any healing potions on the sly after her ordeal in the battle or while Voldie was dead, though. And now, both are in Spain, having dinner. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, an amazing chapter! Hermione did extraordinarily well. (I also liked the byplay between Severus and Lucius). Now, let's hope Albus has something up his sleeve besides his arm. He's been given a wonderful chance to strike Voldie when he doesn't have a mob around him. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Alas, even if the Order wins, the powerful pureblood families will still run things-they'll just be *Gryffindor* pureblood families with maybe a few Hufflepuff ones ('All was well'). But that won't be Snape's problem if he survives-he'll be 'off this rock and back to civilization' to quote Harry Mudd). Hermione's 'memory' is perfect, and she barely survives even the fake Voldemort; and of course Snape knows his ordeal with end, most likely in death. But he's waited a very, very long time. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm glad they both ate some real food-both of them were fading and would have been worthless when they went to see Voldemort. I really liked the discussion of memories and how to suppress them and how to avoid them, as well (Voldie would get an earful of "California Girls" on repeat from me, we'll see how he likes *that*, and then I would start on "Rhapsody in Blue"-that should hold for the next 15 minutes or so. If I felt especially cruel, I'd go with the Spice Girls). |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, setting up Harry as bait-I do hope Albus has some backup to go along with a supposedly vulnerable Harry-does seem like a way to finish things once and for all. I might add that Snape is right-once Voldie is gone, he needs to depart Britain in order to *have* a life at all. He deserves better than to be a permanent prisoner of Hogwarts, never quite liked or trusted, and the target of both sides. And that's what he would be if he stayed. Hermione is ready, and stronger for resisting temptation. It's showtime. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Excellent chapter-you're back! I know, I'm a little behind myself. And yes, sleep, and lots of it, is the best cure for lots of things. I think Snape is serious about that note, and Harry should realize that. |
![]() ![]() This fic is so boring |
