My dear, I first read this story at a decade ago and now I’m
a working adult. This us the first story I ever favorited on this site and to this day… what I revisit the most. Not sure if you’re still on this site but again, a sincere thank you !

This comment is long overdue but I'm saying it anyway:

Thank you for this fic. Just... thank you so much for writing and sharing Frozen Sky. It's remained solidly in one of my top favorite fics of ANY series ever since finding it years ago, and despite the differences in canon and all the new information that was revealed since Bleach ended, this fic just... feels like home. It feels LIKE CANON if I'm completely honest. I have to catch myself when I'm working on my own fics and consciously try not to reference this one because that's how ingrained it is, LOL. Your writing style, your worldbuilding, your characterization, the flow of events, it's all just SO GOOD. Being able to come back to this fic (and Facets!) again and again over the years has truly been such a treasure, and I am SO SORRY it's taken me this damn long to say as much.

Of course, as a long-time follower of this fic, I can't leave without the obligatory "if the next chapter comes, I'll be waiting" - after all, fics have been updated after a decade before, so you never know - but honestly... If you're still out there, I just hope you're doing well enough and staying safe in today's crazy world. Take care, and good luck, whether you return to fic or otherwise.

I have read this almost 15 times, and I must say, it's still one of the best Hitsugaya centric fanfiction I've ever read. Delightful, if only you would update.

Eight years hence and still one of the best-realized fics here; possibly the best Bleach fic. finest character study ever. Here's to hope you will write more masterpieces! Bravo! Thanks for sharing.

man even after almost 10 years i keep coming back and rereading this fic. i haven't kept up much with the manga besides skimming stuff every couple months, but man this fic. it's still so good. so sad it was never finished but at least it wasn't left in a horrible cliffhanger or anything. anyway, thanks for writing this.

I like how you:
- Edit your work. Its flawless in regards to errors! Or almost anyway; perhaps use a few semicolons instead of commas where necessary.
- Stick to the anime. This seems like quite a likely back-story; that is, if it hadn't been revealed. But I like it anyway.
- Write in a sophisticated manner. You're not like the half illiterate brutes on this site! A good fic is few and far between...

However!

I do enjoy how you explore shiro's thoughts and all, but do remember; senses, feelings, action - these are what capture an audience. You follow his stream of consciousness a little too well, and perhaps would lose more impatient readers. Then again; is that really a loss? :P Up to you to evaluate. I'm not saying this is bad, i'm just saying it could be more interesting.

Although you could end it just like this, i really don't see you doing that, and so i'll be following this story. It's almost a favourite... :x urgh i dont know

Technically, Shiba Kaien graduated in 2 years. It was Ichimaru Gin and Hitsugaya Toshiro who graduated in 1 year. I think you already know this though as on your profile you stated that you'd be rewriting and editing some things to match canon...

I put off reading this for the longest time because I'd heard so much about it, and I was afraid that it would sweep me away in envy of its power. There are some stories that form a foundation for a particular ship, or character, or fandom, and Frozen Sky is truly one of them for Hitsugaya, in my humble opinion. A part of me thinks, after reading this, what's the point of reading less carefully crafted, less thoughtful stories? What's the point of writing, if I'll never be half as good? I can only try my best. You've given me a lot to think about one of my favorite characters, who is so painstakingly, lovingly, truthfully rendered here. I hope you update soon.

I have read your story and so far it is amazing! The character development, and the way you write makes me feel everything. I love it! I am wondering when you will finish this story, because I cannot get enough of it. Thank you for sharing your talent.
