| chantallie9 chapter 1 . 3/20/2014
It's "je vous aime, belle", or "je vous adore, belle." You know, 'belle' is the female version...
oh, and i think it would be even more suitable if you wrote "je t'aime, belle", because 'vous' in french is the 'you' you say to people you don't know, to teachers or grown-ups. And because they're quite familiar with each other 'tu' is better.
| OverTheRainbow chapter 1 . 10/16/2011
Je vous aime, ma belle or je t'adore ma belle. Sorry...

| guineafeather chapter 1 . 7/18/2010
Totally loved it! Just gonna point out that you said they went to the sixth year dormitories and in the books it states that James and Lily didn't even start going out until 7th year.

| me chapter 1 . 7/16/2009
you need to use "belle" for he is talking to a girl.
| Kaity chapter 1 . 1/25/2009
I speak French and it would actually be J'adore vous/tu, belle. Aime means like and beau is for a man while belle is for a girl.
| Ski000Girl chapter 1 . 11/23/2008
aww so romantic if smut can be romantic.
| DiddleJumpedOverTheMoon chapter 1 . 9/30/2008
who cares if the french is right or not! i really liked it and i think it is cute and really romantic that he says i love you, beautiful at the end. it is nice that that is what you meant for him to say, so that is what makes it good. great job on the story, you should write more!
| prongsgirl2106 chapter 1 . 7/23/2008
You'd think that wizards would have better ways of protecting themselves against sexual diseases and unwanted pregnancies than a stupid plastic condom...
That was way too muggle-ish of you
| HP legend chapter 1 . 4/18/2008
who gives a ** if you made one little mistake, mayb it's the charectors who mmade the mistake anyway.
You'd think that people would check to see if 500 other people has pointed out the mistake, but obviously not.
has a vague notion towards a plot so well done.
I would love to see more of this, maybe sirious and remus reaction, or another James and Lily scene, but it's fine as a oneshot.
| Blue-Eyed Chica chapter 1 . 3/29/2008
aw sweet, cute random french lol, do you speak french? cuase i think it should be je t'aime (well je vous aime works too) belle, cause beau is about a guy but belle is saying a girl is beautiful
| shscheergirl20 chapter 1 . 3/20/2008
that doesn't mean I love you. It means I like you. adore means to love. and also i think you need to put the feminine form of beau which is belle.
so yea sorry about that
| Horse-James-Book-Lily-Worm chapter 1 . 3/20/2008
Actually, no. Je vous aime, beau means I love you, handsome. You can't say beautiful directly in french. Beau is masculine, belle is feminine. Therefore, if you wanted to say I love you, Beautiful, it would have to be Je vous aime (why would you say je vous aime, say je t'aime), ma belle (my beautiful). There is no direct translation, it has to have more than one word unfortunately.
And this is coming from someone who speaks English and French fluently (I live in Quebec Canada).
