Wait wait wait wait wait... Legolas, only fifteen at the time of Gollum's escape ? O.o Have we read the same books (or watched the same movies) ? Legolas is clearly an adult in both, and Elves aren't fully grown up until their fifty or hundred year ! ... Plus, he always compare mortals to children and says clearly that he has lived centuries ! This is pretty good! I LOVE Can't Take It In! :)
I have a few comments though.
I spotted a few grammar mistakes and putting your authors notes in bold would help. Also, the conversation between Legolas and his father (near the top of the story) was a bit confusing because you had the song in italics too. Great job! I love Legolas and Aragorn fics!

It's a great idea for a story, really, but...Legolas? He's 2931 years old...Aragorn merely 86. The idea of using a song to implement a sotry is a good thought as well, and the lyrics fit very well into the theme of the story, I thought. Keep on writing, and good luck!
