I struggled to understand the beginning of it, but as I got further into it, I found it to be detailed enough that I wondered if there was personal experience in here somewhere. And its an unusual topic. Thank you for sharing!

First I want to say thank you so much for this. For some reason Ashes’ story has haunted me more than some of your others and I think it was because I never understood the resolution between the characters. Until you wrote this chapter in their story it was if they had solved things between each other somewhere off stage, somewhere the reader had no knowledge or access to. This story allowed us to see the ongoing healing that was happening between them. I understood her acceptance of his apology and explanation because it offered her what she had sought since she had left, but there was too much pain between them for it to be so easy. You build angst in a narrative masterfully, however, when you put so much of it into a story it creates a hunger in the reader to have it resolved and they want to feel sated with that resolution. That is what I missed, and you have done it very well with this chapter. When you create characters whom you mean to bring together after putting them though difficulties, it is important to allow the reader to participate it that. They want to see those characters come together and feel complete and satisfied with the ending

I felt like that was needed. So much had gone unsaid between them. I am glad you still think of your other characters and bring us updates.
