Wow wow wow wow! This was AMAZING! I know those episodes off by heart I've watched them so many times but I have never ever considered them from Minmei's point of view. This story blew me away with her thoughts - and it's given me a whole new perspective on those final episodes. I really really loved this story - I loved how Minmei knew before even Rick did that he was in love with Lisa, I love that he was distracted around her and I love that Rick was thinking of Lisa when he was making love to Minmei - and that Minmei realised it! Brilliant story, this is officially one of my favorites, thank you for writing it!

Hi! I've just recently discovered this place here. Thanks for this great story.

It is a bit different from other fanfics, to me not really a _fiction_ but retelling the last episode of Macross. However, this time, with all the gory details, the thoughts and "insignificant" things that make it so special. That's exactly why written stories can never be matched by a movie. So many small things added, we knew that they're there but, of course, can't be shown on the screen.

I haven't watched the "To the stars" episode in quite some time (how negligent, time to correct this!), but you even cared to cite the episode conversations exactly, I think. This makes it very canonical. I can vividly hear their voices, rewinding the episode in my head reading your story but, this time, in an unprecedented way, since you've added so much to it. Therefore, I'm grateful. Thank your very much!

Do you consider there should be an order for this and "and the he knew?". To me, this one should be read after the other. Well, I did it that way and it feels somewhat correct.

That being said, I really enjoyed your story. While being a huge RickLisa fan, I almost felt sorry for poor Minmei. Well, almost...

Unfortunately your later stories are in spanish (right?) only, so it's really a pity I have to miss out to them. So, maybe your reconsider writing something in English again! I'd love it!

Incredible your writing of Minmeis POV made me feel a little sorry for her but then you manage to turn it around and now I hate her even more than before haha! Just the image you painted of the selfish and spoiled brat Minmei that only holds on to Rick because she wants security not because she really and truly loved him and worse knowing that he didn't love her!

Wonderful story darn it! My fav author list just got longer! NICE WORK looking forward for more good stuff.

I really enjoyed the story. The episode just gave a netural POV, so it's good to read different perspectives of "To the Stars". It also fleshed out the episode and it gave a new look on how the characters interact. I never been a Minmei fan and I never will be, but I do appreciate her views on her relationship with Rick. Still, I can't help but be aghast on what Minmei tried to do. She knew that Rick no longer was in love and infatuated with her but yet she wanted to hold on to him because she wanted to use him to get anonymity? That's just the ulitmate in selfcenteredness.

aah... you are evil but wonderfully evil and clever. I wished I had written this story... it's great! Especially the last line... poor lost, unfortunate- Minmei.

A friend of mine pointed me to this story and she was right, this is GOOD stuff! I'm a big Lisa & Rick shipper and reading this really made my day! YAY! Minmey got what she deserved! The story is very good and I hope to read more stories like this in the future. :)

Good story. Especially liked the pointing out of the Lisa-saluting-scene (with the tears in her eyes), that got stuck in my head right from the very first time I saw the final episode. Though I have to admit, I still don't like Minmei very much. I mean, she knew that that Rick didn't love her since that night and she still wanted to keep him? Selfish.

This story made me relive the last moments of Macross with much intensity. Your use of Minmay's point of view to advance the plot was excellent, different, and very "real" at the same time. She is completely in character. I also enjoyed the DYRL-feeling the mention of the couple's hideouts gave at the beginning of the story.

I love the way you have Minmei figuring it out. The last part was partcularly poignant...with Minmei admitting if only to herself that he wasn't totally with her that night, but partly with Lisa.

Another fabulous story. You write in English better than I do and I'm a native speaker and an English major no less! Again, very believable, great internal dialogue in Minmei's head, and you almost...almost...make me sympathetic to her. I love the idea of Rick saying Lisa's name while he was with Minmei. YES!
