Love reading a story that acknowledges Spike is really no ordinary vampire, and the Anya moments were perfect. She really is a very interesting character (I actually like her bluntness, truth can hurt but at least you know where you stand with people like that) and I especially enjoyed her complaining about the others’ inappropriate humour! Thanks for sharing

Wow, this is a marvelous story. I am so grateful to the author for writing and sharing it, so we could read it years later. It was so different to have Spike sent to heaven, and to need Buffy to agree to return. The reintegration of girl with Slayer, the way her sister found her own strength, and the personal revelations of Spike were all powerful and different. Having Willow continue as a helper and loyal friend, and Giles be a true guardian, were also rewarding. I really could barely stop reading until I reached the end. Thank you.

I first read the passage preceding that quote late at night. I had to read that bit again to make sure I got it.

I've have never read such a exact expression of a noble, self-deprecating, and selfless love. It is the best I have seen in the English. I do not embellish or exaggerate to say I think it ranks with the Gettysburg Address as an example of the perfect use of the language.
