1001 reviews! (and now 1002!) I STILL check this fic every now and then to see if its been updated, and I left a rather soppy and over-emotional review about 2 years ago (which makes quite embarassing reading, now.) What can I say, I was young. I was impressionable. A shy individual, about to start reading English Literature at a prestigious British university, and looking to grasp any amount of inspiration from the stories I read. Which your story threw up by the bucket load.

To Lucia I am so sorry to hear or rather read, that you are not doing so well, I would just like to say that I am throughly enjoying your story and am on the edge of my seat with each and every chapter. As of right now I am still partially lost, there is so much information, and each time something is revealed I find something else to which I am anxiously waiting to be revealed in the coming chapters. I can not even begin to attempt at guessing what will come next, or how your story will come to and end. It really has so many possible outcomes. I have so many questions, "What is Mystique up to? What is her actual goal? What does Destiny's diary and prophesies actually mean? What is up with the Scarlett Witch? (and her brother? shudders) Why is Pyro so insane? Do you have anything more planned with or is she just a cameo? Will Theo and Remy be able to mend their relationship?" Yeah...just to name a few hehe.

Poor Jean-Luc and Marius what a horrible way to die, please tell me Tante Mattie is ok. Please? And last but not least I would really appreciate Remy and Rogue actually being able to live happily ever after, am I hoping for the wrong ending? sigh I could just cry. They just are so meant for each other, and have gone through so much. Why is that every time they grow closer and stronger in their relationship, something horrible happens? You are such an amazing writer, please continue.

I am loving this story! It's taking me forever to read it because I'm just taking a few minutes here and there between classes and work, but I can't get it out of my head. I love the angry but flirtatious banter, the suspicion infusing each conversation, and noticeable development of Rogue and Remy's relationship.

The one thing that absolutely reached out and captured my attention - the thing that made this story steal my heart - is the language. You are incorporating the French language and the Cajun dialect so well! It makes the dialogue seem intensely realistic. The dialogue that uses true-to-dialect phrases rings so true for the characters, the setting, and the story as a whole. It adds the flavor, the spice that real life has when one embraces the diversity of culture and background. Also, it reminds me of living in the South and I get a little bit homesick.

You have my enthusiastic (and envious) applause. The world needs writers of such quality. May you write as long as you live, enjoy what you write, and be so fortunate as to make a living from it!

Well what a place to leave off. Can I just say I spent the better part of this week devouring this fic? Truly, one of the best things I have ever read. I am completely wrapped up in this world you have created. The layers to the story are just coming together and I feel like I'm on a precipice. I want to know what happens next! I know how difficult writing can be, but I have to say that the story you created deserves a conclusion. I'm glad to see it's been put back under construction. So please, here are my accolades for this tremendous piece of writing, and encouragement to keep you going. I am so glad to have stumbled across it, and will be waiting with bated breath for Chapter 30. You have a new and rabid fan. This is an exceptional story!

I always love reading a fic with Pyro in it. He's psychotic, funny, witty and just down right flammable! You brung out the best in this character that I simply enjoyed which made me giggle through out his scenes. Job well done!

Another nice chapter. I found myself really liking the attitude and the slight roguishness Rogue has here. I know half the time she doesn't mean to but who can blame her, she had a not so happy life up to this point of her life. Even though I think Kitty had some valid points (the goth make up thing can kind of put some people off).

I also enjoy the way Rogue is approaching the card thing, almost debating the pros and cons, weighing out the the possiblities of the meaning of it and not concluding it a fairytale around it which I see in many fics, so I just thank you for making it not so easy for her to really jump to conclusions.

As for Remy, he is a gambler for sure! Always has something up those dusters sleeves.

Even though the revise process has a hold up to chapter 12, I will hold off the review till there but will continue the reading process ) .. It's to such a good fic I can't help it!

Okay, Love the 1st chap, they way Remys departing his beloved city is almost like a ones child or wife/husband getting shipped of to war. Not really wanting to but at theseme time its a must. Also not knowing if or when they will be back to see their loves which in his case his city, makes the seperation all the more... Just the details were awesome.

As for Rogue, it's a sign girl! That cardcut was a sign telling you that something is going to happen and it starts with capital R!

Alright, one chapter down twenty nine to go? Ooops I forgot how many chaps!

I just spent every waking moment the last day and a half reading this, and was soooo bummed to find out it wasn't finished. Please continue the story. You paint it so well, I can feel myself in the story, running around with everyone, and feeling all of their pain. Its so easy to see what it is your trying to make us see. I understand life happens, and I am so happy that you took a break from writing versus just throwing something half hearted together and posting just for us the fans, but please just consider this motivation, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? Does he tell Rogue Mystique is behind it, Do they get to finally touch one another in physical needs and wants, will they make it out of New Orleans or will Jon Luc keep her there, Why do I feel as if Remy is going to have to die in order for her to be able to touch, or Mystique to going to run away with her into the sunset never to be found again, and as gross as it may seem pretend to be Gambit just to stay with her. AHHH the suspense its killing me, cant wait to see what you will write next! Please make it soon!
