she didn't hit him for anything else, so why for this one thing that he doesn't know? use your words. adults often say this to children, but they don't follow their own advice. petunia should have used her words to explain to harry not to pee on stuff. she hit him the first time he did it? why on earth would she expect him to know a rule without being told about it? and it's disgusting nonsense to say that harry respected her for hurting him. gross.

JK obviously had her villains follow a comic book model. Always make evil plans as complicated as possible so people will be awed by your incredibly evil intellect! That's the only way Adam West's Batman survived from episode to episode! How many times was Batman captured without anyone removing the video to reveal his secret identity? And how did a pair of glasses keep people from noticing that Superman and Clark Kent were the same person? If the villains were really as smart as they think they were, they'd become successful businessment. Money is power. Just look at Trump. Lex Luthor, Bruce Wayne, Tony Stark, Oliver Queen. All very powerful without being heroes or villains!
I love this fic! It's refreshing to see the Dursleys being decent people. Aunt Marge a witch! Love it! Petunias muggle howlers were hilarious! Basilisk death by Hagrid hug, like ways. Bullet holes from a 357 misidentified as a mysterious piercing hex! Dumblebutt's nose! The solicitor from Hades! Please pass on congratulations to your now grown-up son for his contributions to this! Extra kudos to both of you!

I wouldn't have cared that she was a girl or a year younger than me: if I was Harry and she went around telling people who I really was I probably would have punched her in the face, hard... At the very least. What a delusional bitch.

This was a rather interesting piece. Though it is concerning that even the likes of McGonagall, Pomfrey, and Snape weren't able to keep little Harry in a better home condition. Surely between the three of them they could have added to Hagrid's hut so Harry would have a room for himself. Then again the Hagrid in this story being allowed to raise a child is rather ludicrous. At any rate I really did enjoy the story. I think the way the Dursley's were written was my favorite part and the muggle howlers, can't forget those.

If you did it to an adult, you’d go to prison for assault and battery! It makes it even WORSE that it’s an innocent child in your care! It’s abuse of authority as well as child abuse!
