| BJMccoy chapter 1 . 6/28/2011
This was one of the best fanfictions M*A*S*H or otherwise, Ive ever read. It brought tears to my eyes.
| santeria chapter 1 . 3/24/2010
Beautiful and heartbreaking. Poor Charles...
| melinda08 chapter 1 . 4/25/2009
This was the most amazing C/M fic I have ever read! I can't believe how well written and thourough it is. It's just beautiful. The ending is just so sad and yet perfect at the same time. This is like a buried treasure. I love it.
| Monker chapter 1 . 5/19/2008
I must agree with your other reviewers in that this story was beautifully constructed. I loved the lovely and delicate words with which you told this enchanting story. You succeeded in pulling from me the most outstanding amount of emotion with this story than perhaps any other piece I've ever read. So I praise you in that. I found that the flashbacks were done very tastefully and aided nicely in the flow of the story. I have to disagree with bedlam55 in their statement. I had no problem with the dialogue you gave Charles. On the contrary, he strikes me as a man who values the English language and strives to use it properly. I could picture Charles saying all of the lines you gave him without a problem. I think you wrote him very well. And truthfully, I could say the same thing for your depiction of Margaret. I enjoyed this story immensely.
However, I will make one criticism. Actually, it's not criticism really, just a little something I noticed. The title of this story doesn't really seem to fit its subject. Everything in this story actually takes place AFTER the war. I can't think of a single scene in this story that took place during the war. Yes, the old days back at the 4077th are mentioned to some extent. But aside from that, nothing in this story really happens during the war. So the title seems quite a bit off in my opinion.
But all in all, I really enjoyed this story and hope to hear more from you as a M*A*S*H* writer in the future; particularly a CM writer because you capture them both beautifully!
| Major Disaster chapter 1 . 1/24/2007
You've really written one of the most moving fics I've read in a long time. I always thought that Margaret and Charles had a special bond and you've captured that wonderfully. Thank you for posting this. I really loved reading it and I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
| bedlam55 chapter 1 . 6/30/2006
This was quite honestly the most beautiful M*A*S*H fic I've had the pleasure to read. Beautifully written, full of emotion, tender but strong, the relationship built between Charles and Margaret was in character and enchanting.
Only one criticism, and that is that at times Charles' dialogue was a bit overdone...too wordy even for him.
| Paulina'sHM chapter 1 . 6/29/2006
I loved this story. I'm not usually a CM fan, but tihs was beautifully written, the snapshot style was done really well. I cried when Margaret died. She's my favourite. I hope you write something like this again.
| highmaintenance chapter 1 . 6/24/2006
Wow...that was beautiful. Simply beautiful. This has to be the best unrequited love story I have ever read.
Absolutely stunning CM...I have been moved beyond words...
| Heather chapter 1 . 6/24/2006
There were a few grammar errors but you get points for spell checking. The errors were mostly commas in odd places so it's up to you if you're bothered by it. I know some people use commas as a writing style.
I would also take down or edit your notes. Labeling as AU is fine but your fic should speak for itself without all the thoughts on its creation. Maybe move the notes to the end of the fic? I just found them distracting and I hadn't read anything yet.
There were also a few things I didn't like in the fic as far as characterization, but hey, it's not mine. Not a bad job and it's always nice to see more Charles fic.
