printandpolish chapter 10 . 12/21/2020
I am really loving this universe. It allows Sam and Dean to have more of a family than they have been able toand who doesn’t need family? You wrote them so welljust the right amount of emotion while staying true to the characters.
ISEL chapter 10 . 10/27/2018
Que hermosa historia siempre es hermoso saber que los chicos tienen a alguien en quien apoyarse y quien pueda darles ese amor de madre que siempre necesitaron.. Linda historia eres genial.
Dorothy4 chapter 4 . 1/15/2018
It's cold outside and I am rereading the series for fun. I got to this chapter and had to smile. My mom had that set of cookie cutters when I was growing up. We also had a set of plastic ones that looked cooler but didn't work as well. I always started with the plastic but ended up with the metal ones. The present cookie cutter never ever worked right in the plastic set but was great in the metal. So I read this and remember making cookies with my mom and smile and think I should get up and whip up a batch right now. Then I think of calories and realize I'm sadly all grown up. Thanks for the memories and for letting us see what might have been for the Winchester boys.
WritesByTheMoonlight chapter 10 . 4/15/2017
Oh gosh...I remember reading the first fic to this series, and fell in love with it...years later, I find it again and find that you've got more! I've got to admit, I'm not usually one who likes OC's, but I *adore* Jo and her boys (and hey, lookie, Luke's even grown on me too! ;) ) I don't even mind the fact that some parts are a little different in the flashbacks...just because, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Jo hold her own against John.
I really enjoyed what you've written with these wonderful characters so far...it's nice seeing Dean and Sam kind of having a bit of a family to go too...makes my heart melt! If it wasn't so late into the night already, I'd move onto the next fic in the series since it looks like I have some serious catching up to do...! But, I'll have to save it for tomorrow...*grins wickedly* and I know exactly how my weekend is going to be spent now ;) thank you for the wonderful read...it was so much fun seeing Sam and Dean back with Jo and her family! Can't wait to read the others!

OMG...I had so much to do this afternoon, but I just HAD to keep reading, dammit! And yes, conversely, this is one of those stories that I just did not want to end. I'm sad it's over. I love this verse and these people! I love that you have such a nice balance between the boys here - both of them getting their chance to shine in the spotlight for a fair amount of time. Too often stories lean too heavily to one side or the other when a writer is really more of a Dean girl or a Sam girl. You do give us a lot more insight into Dean's thoughts and feelings and he's kind of the emotional center of the story, but you write a great Sam as well, and give him a strong, equally wonderful role in the story. (Although I would have like to see Jo actually thanking him for trying his best to protect Tommy...I'm sure that scene played out in private, LOL) I shall definitely be checking out the other stories in this verse. Hoping there's another casefic/action fic among them, but I'm sure I'll be enjoying whatever I find.)

Just had to read more of this verse ASAP. Loving this one so far, too. I love how you disperse real life style humor throughout, without making it seem silly. Last chapter with Jo's exasperation asking Sam if he even owned a come, and this one with their exchange about how did Dean not actually kill Sam when he was going through that phase. Both subtle but brilliant lines there.

Then the whole rest of this chapter...wow! The intensity and emotion just built and built. Was not prepared for the ending with Sam and Tommy coming under attack, even though I knew that that was where the story was going eventually. Wow! And now I need to leave to go out, but what I want to do is really just keep reading, LOL

Ohmigosh. This is so good that I'm legitimately sad these people don't exist inside the recognized canon. Sam and Dean would be so much more emotionally stable if they had a few years of Jo, Luke, and the boys. But alas... Good job!
Bookworm85 chapter 10 . 1/14/2017
Chap 1- My favorite part of this chapter is when Dean tries to pull away from Jo's hand to "give her space from the crazy people" and she just tightens her hold on his hand.
Chap 2- I love Jo's grooming of the boys- fixing Dean's tie and Sam's hair. I also loved Luke's "girl advice" to Dean.
Chap 3- Dean calling Michael out on his temper tantrum was so funny! There were some other funny parts towards the beginning, which was a good way to balance out the angst of later.
Chap 4- The cookie scene had a good mix of humor and angst. I'm glad that Dean is able to open up about his mom to Jo. Macy painting the boys' nails and doing their hair is hilarious! That's so sweet that Dean and Sam now have an honorary niece. The ending made me teary, with Sam realizing how young Dean had been when he lost their mom.
Chap 5- Lots of action and suspense! Very exciting!
Chap 6- I love that Jo and Luke stand up for Sam and Dean. Jo pushing the nurse to get the doctor in immediately, and Luke standing between John and Sam. Luke's conversation with Dean was wonderful. John's rudeness to Jo made me angry, and then you had to go and make me feel sorry for John. Sam and Dean are all he has, and he's worried that he's going to lose them.
Chap 7- I love how Michael calmed Jake down on the car ride. And Michael was awesome at the end of the chapter with the exorcism.
Chap 8- Luke could read John's motivations even better than I did.
The phrase "clingy, 6 foot 5, 23 year old" makes me smile.
Oh, wow. John basically told his sons that, by loving Jo, they were disloyal to their mom? Ouch. And then John tells Dean that they will leave Sam behind if he doesn't listen... Oh, John, you need some parenting classes.
Chap 9- It hurt that Dean was worried that Jo was mad at him, that she would ignore him.
Chap 10- "Dude, are you holding my hand?" "I think you should do the dishes. Luke almost died, you know." LOL
Poor Dean. I understand why Jo's mad, and I know that she'll forgive him, but Dean doesn't. He think she hates him and he's piling the guilt on himself. He doesn't think this can be fixed, and that he's going to lose the relationship he has with this family.
That was awesome that Michael told Luke that he loved him. Michael has really grown in this story, from fighting to be treated like an adult to acting like one.
The scene where Jo apologizes to Dean made me cry, it was so beautiful. "Thank you for my boys. All five of them."

Another great story in this series! Even though it was close to 60k, it was interesting the whole way through and it didn't drag on or feel long. You have a good balance of angst and comfort, and the familial love makes me happy. Nice work!

Excellent story with lots of emotion, lots. From nearly sniffling to giggling madly at the "Heed...move"" quotes from So I married an axe murderer, this is a story to treasure. Thanks Sasha £££
