This was so well written! I loved it! Read it all in one go. :D
| framework4 chapter 1 . 5/28/2017
Just got done rereading this story. Truly delightful.
| Kirala Mouse chapter 10 . 9/6/2016
I just wanted to let you know that I just reread this story for the millionth time, and it's still one of my very favorite comfort reads. I love the tenuous grasping for a balance between Clark's secret and Lois's scrutiny, and the way both characters get agency in that decision. I love the way it examines the ways in which we make life difficult for ourselves, and the ways it's impossible to do otherwise (because how could we know better?). I love Lucy's input, and the way epistemology and theology get mingled with everyday concerns. Thank you for writing this. I hope you're still connected enough with FFN to get the review!
| TrisakAminawn chapter 4 . 2/21/2015
Exactly how far in the future are we living, that there have been seventeen generations of white people in Kansas? Even assuming an unbroken line of teen pregnancies, that comes to over two hundred and fifty years. In 1765,
Ohio was the western frontier.
| Newtinmpls chapter 10 . 5/18/2013
Well done, nice slow buildup. I'm going to have to re-read it to grok it all.
| Rokimbo chapter 10 . 12/10/2012
Wow. That was one of the most amazing stories that I've read in a very long time. I could go back and re-read it right now and I'd bet I'd find even more depth and nuances that I did the first time around. I'm in awe. Brilliant, really.
| dixiedream1n chapter 10 . 7/18/2012
I'm not always a big Superman fan. I mean, I've enjoyed a couple incarnations, but typically I get into some of the Marvel characters more. And yet, that being said - this was a marvelous story. Novel really. A wonderful telling of a sci-fi kind of tale that actually requires little understanding of the universe it comes from, and instead stands nicely alone. You are a Very Good Writer. *smile* Thank you.
| Sorkin's Gal Friday chapter 10 . 6/14/2012
Wow. Just wow.
I wish I could write like you. The brilliant way you tied all of this together was amazing. Your take on these characters was so unique. I'm not sure how you managed to so thoroughly get inside their hides while simultaneously weaving a fascinating mystery AND unravel complicated themes about truth and relationships. This was a brilliant piece of work. You should feel very proud of it.
| Sorkin's Gal Friday chapter 4 . 6/12/2012
I think this is my new favorite Superman story, canon or otherwise. You have this knack for getting right to the heart of what a character is thinking with beautiful descriptive language. It's so wonderful and refreshing to read.
| Sorkin's Gal Friday chapter 2 . 6/11/2012
Wow! This was fantastic. I would imagine it's not easy to get inside Clark's head, but you did a great job. You really captured the inner struggles he must face, but you did it in a really fresh way. I've never read it put quite like this before. You obviously spent a lot of time thinking about these characters. Great job!
| Singollo Lomien chapter 10 . 1/5/2012
This is very good. I enjoyed it a lot.
| Jillian A.K chapter 10 . 10/1/2011
I sort of thing you ought to tag this 'angst' for all the heavy-duty thinking they each do about their fears and sorrows. Although the late hour may be making me more depressed than the material warrants. I tend to get cranky when tired. (And I am approaching dawn from the wrong side of day).
I just wanted to say I really enjoyed this. I was a little confused on some minor points, but that's probably because I'm not familiar with the comics or movies, only the Lois and Clark New Adventures Of Superman version of the show. But I felt you treated the characters with respect and gave them depth and good reasoning skills and sound judgment which is more than I can say for many fanfics I have read. Or for that one movie I saw.
I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel. I'd like to see how you'd have their relationship develop.
| katynhll chapter 10 . 9/6/2011
this is one of those stories that right after I read it I want to read it again to see what I might have missed. It was awesomeness. The only thing I'm bit bummed about is I thought the other little kid was going to be supergirl (Kara) and I thought that was such a clever why of introducing her and I was totally wrong. Anyway, great old story superman story I could really see Christopher Reeves in your writing of Clark. Thanks for sharing.
| anemix chapter 10 . 11/7/2010
This is an awesome story, and even though or perhaps because I don't know much of the characters and plot lines besides the basics, I really liked your portrayal of the characters. Is it complete though? Keep writing!
