|Reviews for A Glass of Wine|
| ZayneLvLz chapter 16 . 3/20
well then... to anyone who decides to give this fic a chance please note ive just found out from the author Toasterman's rewrite of this fic, A Glass of Wine Rebuilt, that the author 94saturn actually passed away sadly.
for any of you interested in this fic i will warn you not to take the plot to seriously. the characters go OOC quick and many things go far left field.
but despite this 94saturn was a great WAFF writer along with the authors that participated with them in making this fic. if all youre looking for is some ShiSuka goodness and nice romance then this is for you. this fic is certainly a good smutty WAFF fic and theres nothing wrong with that. it looks like 94saturn started adding more plot as they went along but unfortunately never got the chance.
Thank you for your time dear reader and 94saturn if youre somewhere out there (and those who assisted them with this fic) i thank you for the hard work and effort

i sure as hell couldnt see asuka lowering her walls to allow Touji to so much as brush the skin of her finger tip let alone sit in his lap and let him put he arms around her.
but still thanks for the hard work. ill continue to read wats here for the ShiSuka waff if nothing else
| ZayneLvLz chapter 3 . 3/20
Where are you from? i feel like youre from a European culture. japanese would be falling all over themselves being this close and touchy with others. sure as hell wouldn't kiss on the lips at that another person without being in a very close romantic relationship. not even in USA would this happen and were 10 times more openly affectionate then the japanese.
14 year olds drinking alcohol. tho i can see asuka doing out of her while wanting to be an adult thing plus growing up in europe where alcohol is a lil more lax. its just jarring that shinji puts up no resistance to the wine then grabs a beer from misatos fridge a few days later.
Tho i will admit the story flows good and the waff is well written if you ignore the lack of cultural cues and how the characters are slightly or at times far off tilt out of character.

Thank you for creating such an amazing series which has taken me some time to finish reading and now has left a large hole in my soul, I do hope that you return to this series if you get the chance.

Thanks to Toasterman for pointing me to this story and to all of Saturn94's stories. It is a shame that this author passed away. This story and the rest of his stories are nice and enjoyable. It is too bad that we lost such a writer. I flagged Saturn94 as a favorite author and will always return to these stories.

I like your story. While it becomes OOC like hell the farther you read, and seriously lacks in research on the series itself, it is still an enjoyable story in the Evangelion universe. Consider it favorited.
That said, you have a fair amount of recurring mistakes (bowls/bowels, presence/presents) that you should probably correct at least in your master file.
Anxious to see how this works out,

though I have only recently become an Evangelion fan, I quite enjoyed it, until the death of Rei II, at which point the series dissolved into death and destruction, with all traces of a happy ending denied. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there was another fan who thought that the shows ending was overly tragic, and that tragedy isn't always a good way to end a story. it was an understandably nasty shock for me to discover that 94saturn had passed away, leaving his works incomplete.
I will not criticize or compliment this work here, and I ask that others refrain from doing so, as I feel that it would be disrespectful to leave remarks on a work here when the author is deceased, and thus incapable of acting on them, and I ask that others do the same. the purpose of the review is to give the author our thoughts on the work, allowing them to improve on what is wanting whilst encouraging them to continue with what they have done well.
Instead, I suggest that you use your opinions and observations to improve your own work, as that is the purpose of fanfiction: to improve, build, express, create, and experiment, each creating something uniquely theirs. This is what 94saturn did, and now it is our turn. no one and nothing is perfect, we are all flawed, and we all find flaws in each other. because of this, it is in the nature of humanity to grow, so when our observations are worthless others we must use them to improve ourselves.
there are none who have less use for our observations than those who are dead, as they can no longer perfect their works, whilst that chance is still available to us.
may your words pierce hearts and your pen draw tears.

Holy kami! Mein gott! Where have you taken our Shin-chan?
Lol just kidding. Interesting. Will be nice to see how this angle plays out.

I had planned on doing this a week or so on his anniversary but decided to do it right now. I came across "A Glass of Wine" when I first came to Fanfiction. It was one of the few stories that caught my sight. I enjoyed his story and couldn't wait until the next chapter. Then I got caught up with work, school and life decisions that kept me away from the Fanfiction for awhile. I came back a few years ago to check out new stories. Again, I found 94saturn's story and read all the way up to 22. I was excited about the next chapter. It never came but I was always on the look out. Then a year from now, I looked around the site one day and found a story called "A Glass of Wine Rebuilt." My first thought was "Thief" and to get to the bottom of this.
I found out that 94saturn had passed away. I didn't take the news well. The fact that so many people like myself didn't know broke my heart. We had lost a great writer in our community. So I write this today because every now and then we should always go back to his works. We should remember 94saturn as someone who took his time with his work and his audience and gave that audience wonderful stories. We should look back on all the stories of those who are not here with us today. For now, all I want say is this:
Thank you, 94saturn

I loved this story when I read it the first time and I still love it now I was saddened to hear that the author had died I would ask that someone adopt this story so that his what I view as one of the best stories here will have an ending and to show that we as a community will continue to be creative and supportive even if the author passed away

It's been many years sincr I read this fic. I'm twenty, now, just to give you an idea.
Recently, I decided to check out Evangelion fanfiction again. There's not much in the way of new stuff that grabs my interest, so I figured I would check out some of the stories I read as a kid.
I saw a review saying you had passed away... So I put a little bit of effort into researching it.
I know I'm far, far too late on this one... But thanks for fueling my interest in NGE, and I'm sorry to see that you were never able to complete this story.
Rest in peace, man.

Mo' chapters, mo' edits:
A fissure formed in one of her barriers.
Now using arrows. Like?
I also noticed I didn't review the last chapter, so now I'll do this one twice as long! (A whole two sentences! Wow!)
Great writing, I find your lemon/lime very enjoyable and the premise is very easy to believe too. I'd also have to commend you for writing a story that ships Shinji and Asuka I've always found them to be the otp.
Much love, That Baka
