   BrilliantLady chapter 1 . 3/5/2017 Poor little Kurt. 3 Poor Mystique. I really did hate the retcon where they made him the son of a demon. It totally undermined the whole character concept for me - that he was just an ordinary mutant who unfortunately *looked* like a demon. Make him actually some kind of demonic offspring, and that central concept is ruined, for the bigots were then right all along. |
| Violetlight chapter 1 . 7/7/2014 A beautiful, but heartbreaking story. I can definately see Raven's line of thinking, but maybe she should have given it a few days. Plenty of mothers don't know what they're doing at first, but they learn, especially with another, more experienced mother to guide her. And most of those mothers haven't been through the trama Raven went through as well. At least she made sure Kurt would have a loving foster mother. Like I said, beautiful, if sad. |

| webaholic chapter 1 . 11/30/2007 Very, very touching. Maybe a little too much explanation about the feminist aspects (the milk, the lifestyle of Margali, etc) although they were needed to explain why things happened when they did. Great use of imagination and knowledge of human (mutie or otherwise ) nature to suggest why and how he ended up with his foster mom. An excellent read, recommended to any who love Nightcrawler or who wish they could have borne or raised a child but were unable to do so. |
