I want to point out not all Christians hate homosexuals, that is an incredibly overarching statement to make. The Christians that are against homosexuals have forgotten that God sent his son to die for all of us, a son that preached of love for all and tolerance for those who are different. I happen to be a devout Christian and a left winged liberal, thank you very much.
I recently voted to allow same-sex couples to marry in my state. And to top that off my best friend since first grade is a child of one of those " right-winged gay-hating Christians," as you called them, and has recently come to terms that her sexuality is considered deviant by her father and if he ever finds out about it it could leave her disowned or stuck in some sort of insane ritual to "fix" her even though homosexuality has not been considered a defect in this millennia.
On another note, thank you for writing this. Sev and Harry really do make the perfect couple.

I resent your comment about "gay-hating Christians" out there. There are people who hate gays who are not Christians. There are also plenty of Christians who do not "hate" gays. Hate is a horrible strong word. I am personally a Christian and I will say I don't know exactly where to stand on gay issues because of the conflict of my religion with the popular opinion of the world. Regardless I live with the philosophy that love is most important and seek to love everyone, even those who are different than me. I have a lesbian aunt who is married and I love both her and her partner very much. You claim Christians are the judgmental evil ones, but when people look at us and say "look a Christian, she must think all fags go to hell and must want to stone all of them to death while she shoves her religion down other people's throats" then you're being just as judgmental. Please avoid putting the word Christian with gay-hating. It only increases stereotypes, causes more judgment and keeps people from coming together to form understanding.
