Reviews for No One Mourns the Wicked
Skyfell chapter 1 . 4/9/2010
I really enjoyed your view on Gin's relationship with Vodka and Sherry.

Please keep up the good work.
A Bibliophile chapter 1 . 2/10/2009
You state in your story that Gin remembers the faces of his victims. However, in episode 345 Vodka tries to bring up Shinichi Kudo and Gin states that he never remembers his victim's faces.

Is that a Wicked quote I see in the title? _

Well, look what gems the DC communities will turn up.

I think it's indicative of how much I like this character that my first reaction upon reading the summary was: "Ohnoes! Gin can't die, he /can't/! (But that's neither here nor there. P)

I really liked this oneshot. It manages to be suitably reflective (as in, Gin reflects on stuff) without being long-winded - and it's very well written, as well. The characterization was spot-on, too, with neither of the two coming off as too soppy (as I had feared, given the nature of the oneshot). *has disturbing mental images of Vodka crying and hugging Gin*

Anyway. You should write more about the Syndicate/Black Organization/those guys; you really do it quite well. Yes, I'm understating it. P
Southpaw chapter 1 . 8/30/2006
hmm... you seem to enjoy putting Gin into near-death experiences.

while his reactions to them seem appropriate, I'm not sure if he'd get trapped so easily so many times.

*shrugs* anyway, it's still an interesting perspective, and I will keep reading your stuff
Claude le noctambule chapter 1 . 8/30/2006
Well, you've finally wrote you one-shot about Gin and his view about death, paradise and religion...

Well, well, how to begin?

"They would stubbornly beliebe themselves to be entirely in the right and everyone else to be in the wrong, and they would persecute anyone who did not agree with their narrow-minded and warped opinions,, and in the name of their go, at that"

Well, I don't know if it was on purpose but the way Gin talk about fanatic remind me himself...

In your fic, he try to convince himself than all of the target the syndicate give to him are traitors and deserve to die, and he fled the feeling to be guilty by killing them in the name of the syndicate and not by his own weakness...

After all, he killed Akemi in your fic because he was too weak to believe than they can escape the syndicate and beeing alive after that...

Maybe Gin reject her own sins on the other... Interessing view of the character...

"And despite all of his efforts to forget, he still remebered more of their faces than he would like."

It remind me Gin's sentence in the manga, "I try to forget them... The name and the face of all the rats I've killed"

For what it seemed, i you thought of this sentence, you choose to take it literally... He try ith all his mind to forget his victim...

Well, your view of Gin is definitly original and coherent...

He is, in your fic, a human who tried to convince other and himself than he is a monster...

It's a piece of fresh air after all the fic who focused on his lovely sadistic side...

But, well, sometimes it's strange to see him like that(human)... Not that it's bad but...

Well must be the difference between "your" Gin and "my" Gin who made me feel that...

Anyway, good fic like always and it's amazing the way you build an universe of your own with all your fic...*_*

By the way, I like how Vodka is the one who learn to Gin there is, at last, someone to regret him if he die...

I'm a fan of Vodka now, thanks to you and all your fics...

(pats Vodka)
