This was AMAZING! It's bittersweet I discovdered this when it was compeleted but oh well. Trying to say how awesome this was just doesn't feel right, just cause it was that incredible. Keep up the good work cause cause I'll be figuratively watching you.

There are few words with which to describe the emotions coursing through me right now. On the one hand, unbelievable joy at the conclusion of one of the best fanfictions I've ever had the pleasure of reading... but on the other hand, the final nail in the coffin of an era.

We grew up reading and writing this stuff. And with the beginning of my Senior year, and the stunning finality of the ending of Spored, it hit me like a gutpunch - my childhood is ending. Pikmin, Calvin & Hobbes... it's just about the time to put all of it up on a safe shelf somewhere and leave it in the realm of treasured memory.

To have been so deeply involved in this story, to have had the pleasure of knowing you for so many years as you wrote this masterpiece of an epic... it's truly an honor. And at the same time, it's heartbreaking for it to finally end. Years ago, I looked at this story and never thought about it ending - now, so much later, I look back on those years and realize what a good run we had. Gametalk, , everything...

And yet, at the same time, I can't help but look at Spored and think "What better way to have ended it all?" The ending of this story is nothing less than beautiful, a masterwork, words woven together into such an amazing work that it can't be described as a "fanfic" so much as an EXPERIENCE. The story of the little blue pikmin is our story, or at least I can identify with it as such.

It's surprising to see how far Spored has come since chapter one, I might add. In the beginning it was slapped together and your inexperience showed everywhere. Now, all I see is a writer who has honed his craft and has seen fit to lay the golden capstone on his amazing story. Perhaps my purple prose doesn't do much justice to just how good this story was, but... well, not many stories give me goosebumps. And Chapter 21 had every hair on my arms standing up stiff.

And it hurts to realize that this is all ending. With the ending of Spored, the last great Pikmin fanfiction draws to a close. The last active one, at least, as far as I know. I don't even visit the Spored forum anymore, and I feel guilty about it every day I remember that.

And yet... we're still here. And one day, there might be more Pikmin. There might come a day when we can return here, and guide a new generation of little writers as we ourselves were guided. And it's not like Pikmin is something I can just abandon - I'm all of a sudden a Brony, so it's not like I'm suddenly too "mature" for stuff like this.

So maybe there's hope? Yes. Yes, this is not the end. This is merely the beginning of something.

V rex, thank you for this beautiful story and its fantastic characters, its magnificent world. Thank you for all the years on Gametalk and forums. Thank you for powering through and finishing a fanfic when I never could. Thank you for making a significant part of my childhood significantly better just by sticking around with the rest of us. And if you other guys are reading this... you too. Thank you all. You magnificent bastards.

Might as well start saying what I mean to say instead of keeping it all cooped up inside until the day I die. That just wouldn't do.

And Spored was awesome. It was amazing. Every last moment of it. I only wish I could write Pikmin fanfiction again in the hopes of matching this story of yours, but I unfortunately have far too many responsibilities already.

I loved reading the first chapter of this. It was really well written. In my opinion, I feel that most people end up messing up on the first-person view, if they make one. You, however, seemed to have gotten it down pretty well. And for that, I praise you.

It makes me very happy to see that our Pikmin is finally happy. I am glad it ended this way.

I must say that this ending really needs to come directly after chapter 20. When I was reading through it in the depths of the night, I was pulled into the universe of Pikmin. When the ending arrived, I hadn't been in that world for ages. So just as I started reading, it ended.

I really love this story, and I hope you will continue to write.

You have an amazing way with words. This story has been heart-wrenching, entrancing, vivid, and as amazing as any actual published novel I've ever read. I've waited a long time for it's conclusion, and someday I hope for a follow-up, although I doubt I'll recieve one. I've loved reading this story, even if it was a bit heavy on Borg references towards the end. Thank you for taking the time to finish it.

I'll start by reviewing the chapter.

That was very good. However, it felt a tad... unfinished. You basically ended it by saying he discovered a newfound power to feel and decided to sit there amongst a bunch of buried pikmin. I think the last or close to last line should've been an indication of what his plans for the future were, like say, assemble the pikmin to go on a journey to find their long-lost Onions.

But that's one tiny criticism. The ending you went with is fine, it just felt like you slammed the book shut is all. ;)

To review the story as a whole, I felt it was very gripping. Not only did you create exciting visions of pikmin battling to survive, but the actual storytelling was deep. You are also the undisputed master of suspense and cliffhangers.

This has been the best fic I have ever read in the pikmin section. Nay, this has been the best fic I have ever read PERIOD. And believe me, I've read some damn good fics.

If you ever decide to make another pikfic, call me.
