I'm really enjoying this. Making the spymaster the counterpart of a baddie means that this isn't going to go the same way as Gaiman's 1602 (I'm now wondering who *would* be the DC version of Sir Nicholas Fury? Serjeant Steel? Lord Bones? Lady Amanda of the Wall?)
I loved the Doom Patrol being a circus! I assume the strongman was Cliff Steele, and the escape artist was Negative Man?
I can't believe I was wondering who the Inquisitor would be, because it's such a perfect fit!

Virginia Dare disapeared along with the rest of the roanoke colony, of course her grandpa was the one who discovered this. I think they all became cultists and ritualistically sacrificed themselves as a rite of passage to the Americas.
