| Shana-Fujioka chapter 4 . 7/24
I've read so many fanfictions with those characters so far, but this one is one of a kind. It was moving and beautiful and I was crying the entire time (even while I smiled at the end).
An amazing story, well done! :)

| Kitsu3 chapter 4 . 3/9
I'm smiling and yet feel suspiciously like crying. This was beautiful, and I'm glad it has a happy ending or else I probably would leave with a broken heart. Ouch. As it is, you've pieced it back together, but it still hurts a bit. Thanks for sharing.
| XxThe-Crest-Of-AnubisxX chapter 4 . 10/9/2014
So let me get this right
Ran married and fall in love with Kaito
And Shinichi ask Aoko out because he wants to forget Ran...
Just said but Ran had a link with Shinichi so she should know that, Shinichi that is with her is not the real one
Is the same as Aoko..and yet they still play it for Kaito?
| T. Alana M chapter 4 . 5/17/2014
I like the premise, I just don't like that they actually switched in the end...
| secretwhovianpony chapter 4 . 3/27/2014
*sniff sniff* Oh God Lord almighty, the feels! This, this story has me drowning in ma feels! Wwwhhhhaaaa!
| Katherine Sanderson chapter 4 . 2/19/2014
This is fantastic!
I really liked how you handled the swapping and I think your reasoning was logical.
I love that you came up with this idea, really out of the bow :)
| Yami no Tsuki chapter 4 . 12/25/2013
That was really interesting! And well written :)
| Verity58 chapter 4 . 10/16/2013
Oh. My. Goodness.
I know that it's been forever since you posted this, but I HAD to review it once I'd finished reading—brilliant, brilliant, brilliant with a capital 'B.'
This is certainly a daring, unconventional fic, but one that is very well done. I applaud, especially, the swap in the romantic pairings. It was handled very well, and very appropriately. If the boys had each dumped their respective new love interest once "Shinichi's" memories came back, because of some stupid "only one perfect match" philosophy, I would have stopped reading. I have problems with fics that put the idea of a "destined match" above real relationships (and the sanctity of marriage).
Also, the fact that the girls had figured everything out in advance was perfect—it added a level of genuine warmth and closure that couldn't have been achieved in any other way.
If you want some constructive criticism, then here's my biggest comment. The chapter that really hit me like a kick to the stomach was "The Fifth Stage," in large part because I felt so awful for Heiji. ...And while I still loved the final chapter, Heiji is barely mentioned at all. I feel like I didn't really get any closure for him, as a reader.
Another, smaller comment would be that it was a somewhat difficult story to follow—both because of the name swap and because of the way a few of the segments were written. Referring to “Shinichi” and “Kaito” by their first names in the narration was clever, and in a full-length book, I would have gotten used to it with no problem. This, however, was a four-chapter fanfiction story, and having the names switched on me was extremely confusing—especially seeing as how I’ve already watched several hundred episodes of anime where the original names were used. If I were the author, I probably would have been tempted to refer to them by their original last names in the narration, while using the first namenew, last nameoriginal differentiation in the dialogue only. (It’s a sticky situation, either way, though…)
On the whole, however, I give you my compliments! I wish you had more stories that were completely finished—after the intensity level of this fic, I’m scared to get involved in another one of your stories that doesn’t have an ending. My last comment is a simple THANK YOU for remembering the basics: punctuation, grammar, sentence fluency, keeping a consistent 1st or 3rd person pov… the list goes on. It really does make a story easier to read. In any case, keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing more of your writing.

I love this! :D
| Guest chapter 4 . 9/13/2013
I never thought Ran could be so stupid.
| BiblioMatsuri chapter 3 . 6/12/2013
Confusing. Deliberately so, I suspect. (And certainly no more improbable than anything else in the DCMK 'verse.)
| Solera chapter 4 . 2/3/2013
I just recently found TVTropes website and found this... Why havent' I read this before?! D:
That was a great fanfic! I'll be reading your other fanfics as well/
| Gekarim chapter 4 . 1/8/2013
It's a heartbreakingly told story, it feels especially true to the series because of Shinichi's reaction – forever analytic of the situation and reserving his own hurt within a reticent barrier. You make the reader (me at least) connect with Shinichi so when the fic finishes off like that, I ended up thinking 'no, wait!' It's melancholic and wonderfully written from the start, and I'm so glad I read all of it before assuming it was a one-off (see, I nearly missed chapters 2, 3, 4 in my fit of assumption). There's a twist of lament even after the relatively happy final chapter, and I love that kind of thing in storytelling 3
I would love to try some fan art of this if you could grant me permission?
| Partsu chapter 4 . 1/5/2013
This is good!
Me no like!
Shin should be with Ran and Kaito should be with Aoko, period.
but I still got to admit that this is good!
I hate you...for making something so WRONG to something this GOOD.
...Shutting up now, after putting this to favorites.
