A couple subtle wording and punctuation errors, but nothing to worry about.

An interesting story, though I think Kanae overestimates his value to Ryuko. She may value him as a tool, but she stated to his face in one episode that he could be replaced. But perhaps this story takes place before she told him that.

An interesting look into the mind of a time traveling double agent. If you do write more of these, whose P.O.V. are you going to show us next? Ryuko's perhaps?

I think that this is a great fic, and I am honored to be the first review on it. I do chalk up the lack of Gawl fics as simply the fact that no one has seen it. I saw one episode years ago and immediately fell in love with it. The entire series was the same for me. It was a great run of a show, I only wish that it had been longer.

But funny, as many times as I have seen the show, I never really thought about Kanae eventually falling for Saito. But now that you mention it, I bet he did. You are right, it would have been hard not to after all that time. I always thought that part of the show was so sad, how he watched and waited for so long for time to catch back up to the present.

wow, this is a rambling review. Sorry _;; But I loved this chapter, and I hope that you continue with the story, at least to show something from Gawl's point of view.
