I caught this story just after an Early Seasons Rewatch...and I gotta say, you get the Winchesters so well it is stunning (better than some of the show's writers, I'd say...). In addition to that, the plot is thrilling, perfectly composed, the scenes from the boys' past so well woven into it...and the psychological insight into your characters and their relationship is downright brilliant. A million kudos!
Elanshaw chapter 8 . 7/31/2017
I agree with stories having a natural ending...and this one was spot on!
This is one of the best Supernatural fanfics I've ever read. Emotional in all the right spots.
The bonding of the brothers. You showing how complex Dean really is.
The love they have for each other and how others can see just how special the boys are.
Wonderful. I enjoyed the read. Thank you for posting.

This is by far the best fanfic I have ever read. I hope the whole fandom can have the pleasure of finding reading it. This has me raving to my family about just how good it is. And you love ER too! I have had so many realizations and moments of staring off into space in awe while reading this. This has stayed true to the storyline thus far, despite this being written so many seasons ago. I don't know how to say thank you or sing enough praises for just how incredible this is.

What I've really enjoyed about your stories (aside from gushing about your use of native languages) is your incorporation of other religions. I love me some Castiel, I do (he's my winged bae), but I'm sometimes disappointed that canon has been locked on to Judaeo-Christianity for almost a decade. There's so much to explore and still stay within the continental US! Great job!

As someone who has multiple degrees in a foreign language I didn't grow up speaking, I LOVE how you incorporate native languages into your story. The Creole, the Gaelic, and this language. I love people who respect and revere language.

I love this chapter. I think I've already stated I'm fascinated by the John-Dean dynamic beyond Sam's influence, so it's always fun to hear thoughts about how Dean remembers John being before Mary's death and how John helped Dean cope in the immediate aftermath before John became THE Legendary John Winchester (TM). Also, I have a deep love for Hurt-Comfort. Great stuff!
Salishaventura chapter 8 . 3/26/2017
Loved your story of the brothers surving in the woods and getting rescued by the Native American. I also enjoyed all the little flashbacks. Thanks so I much for writing.
sidh chapter 2 . 7/17/2016
This is one of the most amazing stories you have ever written. I love it and cannot wait for more. The boys and the past, John in their memories...this is so intense, with both of them hurt.

Really loved this story.
NoilyPrat chapter 8 . 3/19/2016
I had to double-check the date you wrote this - Dec 2006?! HOLY COW! How the HECK did you know about Dean giving the ultimate sacrifice for his brother, and going to Hell?! And then ... even at the end of Season 10 - Sam didn't kill Dean having the MoC, but broke the world to save his brother. I got chills, remembering that when reading your words... thinking of course you wrote this after that. Because this mirrors EXACTLY the show and the brotherhood even 10 years later. Can you tell how amazed I am?
Liked how the wendigo's poison came out of Dean - how he was connected to it (so he knew the symbols would keep Sam safe!) and how he's now on the way to being healthy. Wonderful story. Amazed at your talent for the boys, and for John.
